Hey Biffa
Sweet. That’s how the offramps should look even in vanilla. But after 6 years, the developers still have not discovered that.

For real, things like this are what's keeping me from buying the game. I don't know why they won't update the game to have realistic intersections, doesn't seem like a hard fix.

@@1life0gods Cities Skylines isn't a game that reaches its full potential will vanilla assets. You have to download mods to get the real deal, the base game is just a foundation for the community to build upon.

@@phoenixrising3711 Right, I feel cities skylines shouldn't try and fix this as it's much nicer to let the community come together to make these mods and assets. They don't cost anything extra and if you do appreciate the creators you can also donate to them, usually a few have a Kofi or patreon linked. Or just ask. It's nice to go through the community tab and see all the wonderful things people have made.

@@Tom-ym7tq I agree, but for those who don’t play Cities Skylines on PC, but on PS4 are stuck with vanilla shit. There are a couple of add-ons for different bridge and building styles, but that’s about it.

Thanks a lot for this guide! Finally I can make some more realistic roads!
I wish mods were already in Cities without having to find them. Really good video though and now I know this is possible in-game!
Really nice job with the tutorial. I hate building highways in my cities / on my channel. I need to improve on that and this video helped
Sad, that I'm already done with my city... So much still to learn. Thumbs up for that video!

Thank you for making this so clear!
05:28 The filler function is what I want for the zoning rather than filling the squares. It's so annoying when the squares don't line up and empty spaces occur (#OCD). It would make the city look so much better as it's easier to have curved roads without affecting what types of buildings that are possible to grow and it would then make it possible for "curved buildings" following the curvature of the roads.
First time here. And you don't disappoint!!

Cool city!
This is what you could have done with the off-ramp. The 4th lane must be used solely for exiting the freeway, while the 3rd lane could either be used for exiting or continuing onto the freeway. The lane markings are a little bit off too.
I predict when you will upload the video btw your video is nice!!

Great point. When the highways are built over existing road/carriage networks, developers/planners don't always have the luxury of space. I hate those offramps when I'm driving the Merritt!

Hi:)
Hey man. Nice vid and nice tips. What are those roads you use ? Can’t find them. Thanks
I still don’t get why vanilla game does not include these highway features. Thanks for the tutorial, very useful.
This is scenic fun um I'm still having struggles with my cities tho like elevated roads and the flat ground levels control
Wait until modders add in the road system from Cities in Motion 2 which was basically the same as Skylines but automatically did this for you.
How did you get that billboard?? Great vid btw !
Thx
hello, very interesting videos thank you how do you manage to have the same road texture in the intersections? Me when I do what you do here, my road is always lighter or darker where the freeway exit begins thank you
I usually just use CSUR for interchanges. I give CSUR the edge for versatility but this seems to be alot less of a cpu hog and easier to use.
@ShredraGaming

I prefer this method than CSUR. It's simpler and one less thing to break in my opinion.

Awesome video, I tried to copy everything you did. How did you get the off ramp to curve like that? I seen you where using the road curve setting. When I do that it will not let me. the minimum is about 45 degrees. I have to use straight mode for it to work at all.
Great tutorial. You'll have to redo it with Node Controller 3.0 though ;-).

Thanks! I tried 3.0 the other day. I think it has great potential. It wasn't as user friendly as the beta in my experience. I'll wait until macsergey work the kinks out.

The new version isn't really a good replacement for the 2.2 version yet though. The only advantages of that version is automation and the introduction of color codes, solely for ease of use. I think it's only good for beginners. Some of the crucial features that the 2.2 version had were gone. Like editing individual sides of each segment ends. While 3.0 version controls both sides.
6:27 Hugo there, Hugo there...
shuto assets are left hand traffic right? how did you change the lanes to right hand?
alright so ive been having issues using this, so whenever i click on one of the asset roads it takes me to fire and rescue UI and the map is completely white. any help?
What kind of FPS are you getting here? With a 3080 and TMPE on I basically only manage like 28-30 around sprawl like this
Great vid. My markings keep disappearing everytime I load back in. Is the lane marking tool having some issues with other mods or am I doing something wrong?
6:12 I smiled 🙂
Somehow this video got recommended

What do I do If I want a smooth off ramp or on ramp but no extra slip lane?
Holy shit this mod changes everything.
@ 5:08 That's not how real highway departments begin marking new lanes. They simply widen the one lane out until it's two lanes wide, then begin marking the second lane in the middle.
@yato3335
3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the country or US state. In my country new lanes are marked with dashes and there'd be a sign showing the opening of a new lane
