Hi There. Could you please elaborate on how you have your physical network set up? I have a 3560 L3 switch, a 4404 WLC, a LAP1262-N-A-K9 LWAP, and a host of other equipment. I live in an apartment so I've got their private network as my "WAN" (192.168.101.X). Any advice you could give would be great. Note - I have my CCNA so I'm comfortable configuring everything, I just don't know how you have your setup mainly to your WAN.

Hi. i have followed the steps however i am unable to ping the service ip address in order to login via GUI. Is there something i am missing. After the reboot of the box, i can be able to login with the username and password used. At what stage are the licenses required?

why set internal dns as secondary? Doesn't make sense

I need to configure Guest ssid who have access only to interenet - not access to local LAN. Do I need configure on router (or switch) or on the wifi controler (and do you have example)?

Are you still looking for the solution ? You need to create an interface with the appropriate VLAN info(the one you want to use for interface only) and then create a WLAN (say name Guest). In the WLAN make sure under Interface/Interface Group you select the interface that you created for Guest. On the switch side make sure that VLAN(the VLAN that is only used for internet ) is allowed in the up link of WLC

Nice Video. I have a cisco 2504 wlc I used the express setup to give a new management IP. Now, I cannot log on to the wlc via ethernet. Serial connection via console won't even work. It only shows connected on the hyperterminal but displays NOTHING endlessly. Someone help

how to set alerts when AP goes offline on wireless controller 2504? any help?

I believe only Prime Infra can do that. Or you use some 3rd party monitoring tools.

damn son, you got an 887 rooster! Does it eat the antennas on the router

Any idea why my guest SSID will not get the correct dhcp scope? I am using an external DHCP server and my main SSID works fine. My guest SSID however gets the same vlan and subnet as my internal ssid.

you need to create a separate interface for Guest. Under Guest SSD chose the right interface under interface/interface group.

I have problems detecting my APs, I follow the whole tutorial perfectly but when I execute the command "sh ip int brief" it does not show the APs that are connected in the network. Do I have to take an extra step ?? I work with a WLC 5500
