Ninja Nerds!
In this lecture, Professor Zach Murphy will present on Cirrhosis. We will discuss the pathophysiology, emphasizing the progression from chronic liver injury to fibrosis and the architectural distortion of the liver. The session will transition to a digital presentation focused on the diagnostic approach, including clinical assessment, laboratory tests reflecting liver function, and imaging studies such as ultrasound and liver biopsy findings. Finally, we will review the management strategies for Cirrhosis, focusing on preventing further liver damage, managing complications like ascites and variceal bleeding, and considerations for liver transplantation. Enjoy the lecture and support us below!

Iam a medical student mom of two (3 and 5 years old) your videos makes me able to skip classes and see your videos instead since they save me so much time ( so i can spend more time with my babies) and I pass all my exams. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have the nobel prize from me for sure. Hugs from Sweden🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I passed my Nclx 75 question last year because I watched most of your video that helped me understand the patho. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏 you are amazingly nice. Thank you for your genuine generosity ❤
Love new slides and algorithms. Thank you for updating the content! Visual illustrations are amazing!
How do you make the most complicated subjects easier to remember !!! 😄😁😆😇
I am not a Doctor, but I recently had very high LFT results and was looking to understand the results (unfortunately my doctor didn't explain anything to me). Your videos are exceptional. I learned so much and it greatly helped me understand the results. I am now going back to my doctor with some idea of what he needs to look at. I have leant more from just 2 of your videos than dozens and dozens of other videos combined. Thank you so much for your highly detailed and clear explanations of the liver and its functions.
Keep them coming don’t delete any your channel is just amazing so much help 🙏🙏🙏
I had my exams today, and after watching your video, I was able to perform so well. Thanks for the uploads!🫶🏻

I'm watching this in hopes of convincing myself to stop drinking too much. I know I drink too much, like everyday, and I know the affects but can't seem to stop. I never drank like this until a few years ago. Now I can't seem to stop and get antsy

You can stop only by talking with yourself and imagine that alcohol is like urine or stool
Awesome. Thx u
Thanks 🙏

Could you comment on any of the nutrition implications of cirrhosis? You mentioned low sodium for acites but what about risk of hypoglycaemia and muscle catabolism due to decrease in glycogen made /stored in the liver? How do we treat this and what are the pathways? What are the other decline in liver functions that we might need to address?
Thanks ❤

Do you have a video about liver cancer. I have cirrhosis not candidate for transplant due to having Crohn's disease. I have stage 3 Kidney disease and autoimmune hepatitis. I have had liver ultrasound every 6 months for 3 years. I had an MRI last week and liver is developing cancer. So getting MRI every 3 months. If you have a video on this please let me know. Thank you.

im guessing anyone correct me if I'm wrong but I am thinking extra fluid accumulation leads to low Na sodium concentration normal sodium level is about 135 to 145 mg/DL i think so more fluid equals dilution maybe idk?
Boy I Need Dis transplant, C'mon lol
