There’s so much 4K footage internally from the last few years of the show, and with abilities now to clean up the original dvd footage, a new 4K release really needs to come out. The fan base would easily pay for a re release like that, I would!
This was my first Cirque show that I saw live. It was at Denver in early October, 1997. At the time I was touring on the red show of Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Circus, the 127th edition. We had played in the same city before some months prior in San Jose, right across the street from each other, but I was too busy to get to see the show. This time I didn’t miss it and I loved it! That following Sunday night after our respective shows, the clowns and I went bar hopping with the folks from CdS. Me and a smaller group mainly hung out with Chris Lashua, who performed the German Wheel. He and I have stayed in touch all these years. He has his own show now, Cirque Mechanics which came to my area several years ago. I had just started dating this woman and I was bringing her to the show. I texted Chris and asked him to help a brother out 😂 We met up after and my date was impressed that I knew the owner of the show! We later got engaged and we always went to see Cirque du Soleil when they played Tyson’s Corner in DC.

hello cirque- thank you for making this video! loving these looks back... can someone please fix and re-upload the video so that all of the show clips are in the right aspect ratio? it hurts the eyes to try and watch the large show chunks here. all the making of footage you have in the correct ratio, but the clips from the original dvd are making my eyes water. quidam deserves more respect than that?
