In this video, I crank a sock using boucle yarn. I use a contrast for the hem, heel, and toe. I show the whole sock being cranked from start to finish. I am using a 48 stitch cylinder on my Erlbacher Gearhart Speedster.

I’ve played a few yarn chicken games trying to use up partial skeins. There’s always a way to make it work. If I try it and have to frog the whole thing then on the next try I add a couple rows of a contrasting color in the middle of the hung hem and the toes but not the heel so as not to possibly make a bad join on the heel. Heels and I still have an occasional argument, lol
