CIRCULAR MOTION - PART 1 | Physical Intuition | in HINDI

In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 11, IIT JEE, NEET we explained the basics of uniform and non uniform circular motion. We also talked about centrifugal force, radial acceleration and tangential acceleration in circular motion. We discussed on the formula for this pseudo force.
Let us consider a particle is moving in a circular path of radius r and its instantaneous speed is v. In this case, its radial acceleration is speed squared over radius and the direction of the acceleration will be towards the centre of the circular path. Its tangential acceleration is the time rate change in 'speed'. Interestingly, its total acceleration is the time rate change in 'velocity' and it is also equal to the vector sum of the tangential and radial acceleration.
We know that when any frame of reference is having acceleration (non inertial frame), any body situated inside it experiences a pseudo force equal to its mass times the acceleration of the frame and the direction of that pseudo force is opposite to that of the acceleration of the frame. Hence, we can say, in this case the pseudo force (in this case, centrifugal force) is acting radially outwards and is equal to mv^2/r, in case the particle is moving with constant speed.

    Sister , the centrifugal force which we are talking about is just what we "feel" because of inertia. In reality there is force ,which exists in the form of tendency of body to be in a straight line but not in "opposite direction" so practically there's nothing to compare/cancel the centripetal force . And thus we we are left with only one force that is centripetal and thus acceleration is caused inwards . Now you must be thinking that, then why equate both force .. it's simple because when go into that frame we feel that force in opposite direction,( which we think is reality😂) but the moment we come out of that frame we see the reality that it's acceleration inwards which indicates that there is only one force " The centripetal force" . *Tip: just think if there had been a centrifugal force so according to Newton it should have been equal which would result in cancellation of both forces (what you asked) but just think in reality is it really happening like this . The answer is a BIG NOO.. we Clearly see that there is acceleration which clears the fact there is no opposite force otherwise Newton's 3rd law would have been applied here . Hope this helps .

  • @anirbandutta6913

    @anirbandutta6913

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes, it isn't. The force in reaction to centripetal force is called "Reaction Centrifugal Force". You can find more details in wikipedia, but in short, its a real force - unlike centrifugal force, and it is always directed in a direction opposing the centripetal force, thus fulfilling Newtons's third law of motion.

  • @ishan_murjhani

    @ishan_murjhani

    Well look recall that the velocity of any particle is a vector quantity and vector has a magnitude as well as a direction. If any two vectors have same magnitude as well as same direction, only then they can be equal. Since here magnitude remains same but direction changes hence the vector changes, change in vector quantity means change in velocity and change is velocity produces acceleration.

    Centrifugal force exists on the rotating object always whether we sit inside the object or not . It's a reaction force of centripetal force . Why pseudo force ? Why frame of reference ?? Centrifugal force still exists on the body when we are outside also . The moon gets a centrifugal force & that balances the gravitational pull on moon due to earth . For that we need not go to moon & experience the centrifugal force . It's all ridiculous . . . Zoomla bhasa ki .
