Thanks for all your wicked knowledge Chris! You technical savviness is more than admirable👊
Using spheres for a collider for the chain link to get faster simulations is killer trick! Great demo. The only C4D tutorial creator I don't have to increase playback speed 😉
Thanks Chris! This tute saved me from a ton of headaches trying to develop a product animation. I just went through this and after some trial and error, my chain is working beautifully!
I've been tinkering with dynamics for years, this tut has changed everything, thank you!
Awesome! 👍 Thanks for sharing 🙏
GREAT STUFF BRO! THANKS FOR THIS!
Chris seriously cracked the dynamics code, his brain has a very clear blueprint of how it all works together.
Best chain tutorial there is!
best trick i ever seen many thanks !
Thank you huge! The best lesson on the topic
very good tutorial.
This is incredible. thank you Chris!!

Thanks Will!
Chris you have a new level achieved: C4D Dynamics God!
OMG! You rock! Thank you, Chris! ❤🔥
thanks for this wonderfull insight!
Best cinema chains tutorial. I was searching for this long ago. I made chains simulation with bend and twist deformers. The dinamic tutorials before this wasn't work for me and my prehistoric PC. Thanks

Very nice to hear Ricardo : )
Thanks a lot. Always helpfull and interesting!
Very cool 👍
so great
very good tactic for chins situation. thank you.
wow ChrisT, great tuto
Oh amazing that i found your channel, i had wondered where you'd gone after greyscalegorilla days! Subbed!
Hello, thanks for perfect video. Works great! I now need to put a protection sleave parcially over the chain for the animation of a skip loader. It protects the container not to get scretched. Could you please give me a hint how you would add a sleave to part of the chain? So that it somewhat also moves dynamic? Thanks a lot for you help in advance ... Best Regards
u r that one guy who knows how to open all the secrete doors !!
Great tutorial. I've been trying to model a disc golf basket and would love to know how to set the initial state of chains, to something other than a straight line.

Cloning along a spline or possible you can run it a few frames then in the Dynamics Tag "Set Initial State"

@@RocketLasso Thanks. I'll give clone on a spine a try.

@@RocketLasso Cloning on a spline worked, but it doesn't give you the option to have a rotation per step. I fixed it by having a second link object in the cloner.
Great tutorial! Any idea on how to turn this into ropes instead?

Hi Edvin ! You should stop the tutorial at around 16 min. Then select your cloner, and create a tracer object with your cloner selected. Setup your tracer to "connect all object". Then put your tracer in a sweep with a n side shape. Then you have ropes :)
Great useful tutorial bro. What is the monitor model and size. Tell me.. Please.
How is this achieved if you have two different types of links in one chain?
🐐🦄
yea but how to render them?
tried it..screen loads the simulation sooo long n laggy
pleas show how open banana
Are you sure?
2023 version remove rigid body :/
