I miss Johnny Cash 😪... never had to question who's that singing on the radio when he came on. That's the mark of a REALLY great artist.

When my dad ( Benjamin Perea ) was in the air force with Johnny Cash they were both in their late teens of course. My dad always told me Johnny Cash was extremely smart with a keen sense of hearing (two of many reasons why they were chosen to decifer Russian code during the Korean war). They were both extremely good at Morse code! Best in their class! My dad said that Johnny was very kind and had a great sense of humor. When on furlough in Landsberg they would often take a train to see monuments and museums (the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe etc.). I have pictures of them individually in front of each monument (selfie sticks hadn't been invented yet so they would take pictures of each other lol). My Dad said that Johnny Cash would always have to touch everything. When they saw the Arc de Triomphe or the Eiffel Tower they not only would see it and take a picture in front of it but they had to touch it. While they were in the service my dad often told me Johnny Cash was totally devoted to Vivian - his 1st wife to be. Although I'm sure they did sample some of Germany's best beer and the finest wines that France had to offer they were both very religious and that was not on their list of priorities at that time in their lives (at least that's what my Dad said lol). I have several stories about them that my dad would often tell me. I sure miss him!

@ My dad always said that Johnny had to touch everything not just see it ....for example the Eiffel tower the Arc de triomph... it was just not a matter of seen but actually touching the exhibits... They didn't get to see the Mona Lisa because the museum was closed that day.

@@benperea8483 So it was a tuesday. Here in France, on tuesday, national museums used to be closed. Thank you so much for your story. Johnny Cash was an american treasure as Pete Seeger, or Thoreau.

My father Benjamin Perea was very good friends with your dad Johnny Cash. They both served in the Air Force together in Landsberg Germany decifering Russian code. My dad was supposed to be Johnny's best man when he married Vivian. They had so many things in common and so many similar events in their lives. My dad took several pictures of your dad ... several originals of which I still have. I feel your loss... even towards the end as my dad was also losing his vision he remained so strong and no one really knew. They were both amazing men and will be missed forever.

Cindy Cash is not June Carter's daughter, she is Johnny Cash's 2nd daughter with 1st wife Vivian LIberto. He and June only had one child together, John.

We know who Cindy parents are. Also she is Johnny 3rd daughter. Also June is her step mother. But they did not call her that. She does resemble June. I have seen children that look something like people who are not there parents. Now for John Carter Cash i don't see either John or June in hm.
