Williamsburg is tragic. 30 years ago a good friend of mine and his wife lived there, and it was a very nice complex. Good luck.

Blame the landlord and not the tenets or condemn the building for what the tenets do.

Thank you WCPO for the information. I hate what these out of state landlords are doing. I'm a property owner and have been both a tenant and a landlord. These people are criminals, they are making it hard on both. Vinebrook and others are causing serious problems. They aren't like home owners, they don't plant flowers or clean gutters to keep mosquitos down. They don't vet tenants, they exploit them. The neighborhood declines. In the past I have had tenants who couldn't pay me and I had to cover all the expenses and it was making me financially unstable. So I understand the issues, but I was involved and worked with my tenant to at least get her stuff moved out to her mothers and not on the street and not mess up her credit for the future which would do me no good. I lost money, it happens. These guys have no mercy and use the city police as private evection squads. I say, city, let landlords do it themselves. The local guys usually don't churn through tenants like vinebrook. We prefer the old couple that maybe can't pay as much , but stay for years and don't tear the house apart. The pizza guy that works 70 hours a week just to survive and keeps to himself in the attic efficiency was my best tenant, so I never raised his rent. Vinebrook, they have an algorithm. You don't want an AI landlord owned by a hedge fund.

Actually I'm guessing developers want to get their hands on those properties. There are plenty of areas of Cincinnati that have been ignored for decades. It's always best to disguise your greed in altruistic camouflage when you want to sell an idea to the public.
