Story we are following from ESPN:
Reds host the Rockies on home losing streak
Colorado Rockies (32-58, fifth in the NL West) vs. Cincinnati Reds (42-48, fourth in the NL Central)
Cincinnati; Monday, 7:10 p.m. EDT
PITCHING PROBABLES: Rockies: Ryan Feltner (1-7, 5.60 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, 78 strikeouts); Reds: Andrew Abbott (8-6, 3.28 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 74 strikeouts)
: LINE Reds -191, Rockies +159; over/under is 9 1/2 runs
BOTTOM LINE: The Cincinnati Reds host the Colorado Rockies looking to end their five-game home slide.
Cincinnati has a 20-26 record at home and a 42-48 record overall. The Reds have a 29-6 record in games when they scored at least five runs.
Colorado is 32-58 overall and 12-31 in road games. Rockies hitters are batting a collective .244, which ranks seventh in the NL.
The teams play Monday for the fourth time this season.
TOP PERFORMERS: Elly De La Cruz leads the Reds with 15 home runs while slugging .464. Jonathan India is 12-for-39 with six doubles, a home run and four RBI over the past 10 games.
Brenton Doyle has 15 doubles, two triples and 11 home runs while hitting .272 for the Rockies. Mike Toglia is 6-for-32 with two home runs over the last 10 games.
LAST 10 GAMES: Reds: 5-5, .206 batting average, 3.27 ERA, outscored opponents by eight runs
Rockies: 5-5, .216 batting average, 4.50 ERA, outscored by 16 runs
Story from CBS:
The Reds recalled Hinds from Triple-A Louisville on Monday. He'll start in right field and bat eighth in the Reds' series opener versus the Rockies.
Hinds will reach the big leagues for the first time after he slashed .216/.290/.409 in 77 contests this season with Louisville. The 23-year-old has hit 13 home runs and stole 12 bases in 2024, but he's struck out at an unsightly 38.4 percent clip. Hinds will provide depth for a banged-up Reds outfield and will enter the starting nine right away, but he may just be a placeholder on the 26-man active roster until the newly acquired Austin Slater joins the club Tuesday.

Thank you Trace for calling back the vendors!!! I have mentioned that more than once to the Reds when they send me a post game survey. Also bring back condiment stands in the concession area. Nobody wants to fool around with mustard or relish packets at a ballgame.

I think one reason there are no more vendors walking the aisles at the stadium is because they have went completely cashless. Maybe it is difficult to sell food and drinks in the stands when no cash is accepted anymore? I honestly have no idea what the true reason is though

Yes, but that is average for all MLB players. The league average wRC+ for a catcher is 91....and honestly that number is pretty high compared to a lot of other years because there are several really good hitting catchers right now. For example, in 2018 the average wRC+ for a catcher was only 84.

Hey ChatterWoke, I love the show but please stop saying “It is what it is,” “moves the needle” and “comp.” Hearing these things over and over is tired and monotonous.

@checkmarkdatter1785 I'm not complaining at all. I'm so glad us die-hard Reds fans have a show like this to watch after every game and I respect and appreciate all of the hard work Trace and Nick ( and Craig from time to time) put into this show. I'm sure none of us can fully grasp just how much each of them sacrifice during the long baseball season in order to make these shows happen. They both are married with young kids at home and I have no doubt that their wives are the true heroes because they are missing out on so many other things they could be doing together on summer weekends with their spouse. Instead they both have to watch damn near every play of every game regardless of how good or bad each particular game is going to be able to provide the sound content they provide us. Having said all this to get to my main point, just for fun, I oftentimes set a personal over/under on how many times Trace uses the word "semblance" on each individual show. I think it might be his favorite word lmao.
