Welcome to 'TRUTH With Tara' my brand new series of filmed podcasts! 'TRUTH with Tara' is a podcast centered around singers, musicians, and industry leaders and telling the truth of how they got to be where they are! This episode I'm so excited to sit down with the Cimorelli sisters!! I've been reacting to them for years so it's such an honor and a pleasure to sit and talk with Katharine, Christina, Lauren, and Amy! Join me as we hear their story as sisters starting out in the LA music industry in 2007 at ages 17-9 and their transition to independent artists living in Nashville! It was such a pleasure talking to them, I hope you enjoy!!

I like how they highlight that even though Christina was 18/19 when they started, she was still considered very young. And like Amy, who was 14 was still young. One thing I notice about TV is that they do tend to glorify the teenage years and treat teenagers and pre-teens as if they were adults and that’s damaging because teenagers nowadays feel like they are expected to be fully grown adults before they are ready

You've done Cimorelli covers and you should introduce your viewers to some original Cimorelli music. And the song Amy mentioned, "Kills Me Just The Same," would be a great one to do.

This video was so incredible. Tara, I had no idea you are a Christian--I apparently haven't watched enough of your videos! I was nodding right along with so much of what you all were saying, particularly about the darkness and evil influences in music and the Grammys. it's terrifying. Yet we are in a spiritual battle, and God is so much greater than all of this. I love Cimorelli, and I have a completely new respect and love for you. I liked your reaction videos, but this just makes watching you that much more meaningful. Thank you. I wish I had someone like one of any of the ladies on this video as a vocal coach, and I wish I lived near Nashville, because in my idealist's heart, I dream of meeting Cimorelli. That last bit is a little embarrassing for how ... fan girly it sounded, but it's true.

So, I come from a more dark background musically. I'm into death/black metal. Yes, the type that often gets construed as evil (some bands are, not going to lie). I stopped drinking four years ago. I struggled and still sometimes struggle with the mentality that you can't have fun without alcohol. I came across a video where Cimorelli expressed that you very well can enjoy yourself without alcohol and it seemed to be their entire vibe. Wholesome, and to abstain from alcohol and drugs. I gravitated towards it because it was the complete opposite of myself. I think the bands mindsets, and all around mentality was refreshing to me. In today's society where partying is glorified, and smoking is glorified, Cimorelli's take on living clean is well needed. If anything for the youth of today. Now, I just see their vibe as fun! Great interview and even though I'm into all the evil spooky metal's, I have expanded into all different genres, a lot of them thanks to your reaction videos!

Hey Tara, I love this interview you did here. I really like both Cimorelli and yourself, so it was fab to see you together, and sure to be a good Collab too. I wanted to say how I love your authentic goal of only listening to, endorsing and creating music which is sonically pleasing plus life giving. Spiritual music makes the listener feel something much deeper in the heart and can be a positive force for change and evolutionary growth in society and individuals. That's why, even though singing is the biggest love in my life and I'm sure in other's, we may choose not to have a music career at all... As the purity and positive essence can then still remain in the song, the music and the singers life.

I love listening to Cimorelli and the wonderful harmonies that are naturally created by these talented ladies. I found it very interesting that they spoke of going to therapy and their natural competition with each other, which I think causes them to have so many belts as they compete to be heard over their siblings. Sometimes it works but often it causes the sweetness of their harmonies gets buried.

in regards to "modern" Christian music and being "in", I would HIGHLY recommend either your reaction to some music of a band named Skillet or see if they would come on your podcast. They are hard rock BUT don't swear and actually have amazing music. I am not much of a religious person but their music references the bible and etc BUT it's not in your face pushy and on purpose write their music so each person can listen and think of their own interpretation. 🤷‍♀ and never mind that their vocals and sound is amazing.

I feel like the reason the music industry has become so demonic is because the enemy before his fall from heaven was considered the most beautiful and musical of all the angels. So much so that he wanted to be god. Now he is getting the adoration he so desperately wanted. The music industry is so demonic right now and I feel like it’s because the enemy is making it so he is finally getting the adoration he so desperately wanted in heaven. At the expense of the artists souls.

The Bible warns us about how the world will see good things as evil and evil things as good. I shouldn’t really be surprised to see people dressed up as the devil and everything in the name of it “being cool”. I encourage everyone reading this to stick to God, even if it causes people to make fun of you. The applause in heaven will always be louder than the laughter on earth.

My issue with Cimorelli is that for a time (I don't know if they still do it) their delivery emphasized alternating lines rather than harmonizing. With six sisters at that point, it split the song up too much. In the songs I've seen where they've reduced the leads to one or two voices, and the rest harmonizing, they've been so much better. No reason why those leads have to always be the same between songs, but "less is more" is definitely true with them.

But other religions/ non Christian ideologies aren’t coming from a place of power. Christianity has been extremely idealized as well as it’s people. The hurt it’s caused hasn’t really been acknowledged. I think that’s at least in part why Christianity is experiencing such a push back now.

There has always been resistance to Christianity but generally speaking it has done way more good for the world than the opposite. Religion is flawed because mankind is flawed, but for every criticism it receives there are plenty of positives that non Christian’s simply dont acknowledge or talk about because it doesn’t support their limited narrative..

What about Islam? Hinduism? All other religions are based upon using power to control people , caste systems and earning/ good deads to enter heaven, paradise, nirvana, etc. True Christianity, based upon Scripture, has only God who has ultimated power, who doesn't yield to abuse as sinners (including Christians) do. if some one is doing this, then they are not Christ like.
