A great role-model for young artists - stayed true to herself, her roots, her family and friends, and had an incredibly successful career in music and TV.

Some or most of the comments I have read on this post are nothing more than disgraceful or even Venomous, these comments eminatting from a bed of jealously. When she started out, she may have not been the goddess that some would like her to be, having crooked teeth (Sorry Cilla but necessary to prove a point) but with money, that was sorted out. She was a good looking lass. She has endured the test of time and at 70, she's still in good shape. It has to be said that there are few showbiz talents that stay loyal to their partners but she found Bobby in the early years and stuck with him till death as the marriage vows suggest. Good on ya Cilla!!!

Michael Hawthorne nothing to do with jealousy more concerning her attitude to British airways staff (google it), her love of Thatcher, her name dropping of the Beatles & her overplaying of her Liverpool roots even though she left at the first available opportunity.I have no issue with her looks as British women age badly regardless of who they are.

Meh I'd say crooked teeth or not she was lovely have to looked (when I've seen photos) beyond that and thats not difficult to do either! Though myself actually what I'd say it was she did was extremely cheesy honestly but I'd never wish someone dead, actually feel incredibly sorry. Not knowing what she's like so I can't tell anything about that. The only thing I shall say though is with this comment "Paul O 'Gready" is another example - sure it's entertaining but until you realise how you are being exploited this will continue. " I have heard many stories about people meeting him then heard about how he pretends to be for people of working class but is then for real extremely rude to people like that, not being judgemental myself at all it's only what I've heard. One person working in some form of eatery a friend online on here said he came into where they worked and kept being really rude to them. The reality is people will have this sort of 'public image' but in reality that's all you'll see maybe not even that really but like this PR image about them is probably more accurate, but you don't know what they really are like, Prince Charles I've been told many times from various sources (not personally to me but I've heard about) has a furious temper at times compared to his nice nature in the public as such.

The reality I will say about Cilla and politics is she was a Tory supporter back in the early 90s certainly, against what people in Liverpool are like, they hate them. Even getting behind Majors General Election of which he won of course, but later on probably likely being apolitical sort of like myself right now actually so can have least some sympathy for her, to call her out as being just one thing a Tory is just plain wrong I think. I mean I cant stand the Tory's myself they've caused me (probably in the past with the previous Labour) an incredible amount of problems I'm not going to say they've been fault free that's utter bollocks, they've caused me so many problems over the past recent years cemented the reality I'll never vote for them ever (not that I've ever supported them in the past either but certainly won't from now on).

I'm really not a 'hater' I used to LOVE her as a child, she was like the loveable aunty on Saturday night television but everyone I met since (working in PR) and then having dated a flight attendant who's served her lots, every one has a horror story - apparently she waves people away with her hand and speaks in a posh accent (not liverpool like she does for TV).

She does look ill. I think those in the showbiz industry knew her time was bonus. I mean making movies about hee life etc etc this usally happens when brand name people pass away. I also think cilla knew this herself and did these things ; and I mean this in the best in tensions for £ to add to her estate net worth etc.

I feel cheated. I expected to see national treasure Cilla Black, instead I saw Mr. Woss talking to a slightly pissed Ronald McDonald. Just a thought but has anyone ever seen Cilla and Ronald together in the same room? I think we should be told.

I'm not sure why but that was a pretty disappointing interview .... think JR could and should've done much better. Cilla looked tired. I only found out she'd died when I came back from holiday that Summer and felt strangely sad. I suspect she hated old age.

She is a vile cow. She once went to where my gran was working, and my gran politely said to her, ''Hello Cilla,'' and she just looked at my gran like she was a piece of dirt.

Some people were sitting down in a cafe having a cup of tea just minding their own business, and Cilla here just walked in and demanded them to get up so she could sit there. So I think that pretty much sums her up.
