The last time I've heard any songs from C.A.S was 2 years ago. So much had happened since then, and now looking back all of that, I can't believe I've lived through all that. But I did. Listening to Cigarettes After Sex again makes me feel like taking a bitter pill that is sweet at the same time. I feel like I can just drop myself on bed knowing that I wouldn't have to worry about anything tomorrow; it's pure bliss.

CAS hits different at nght when uh keep starring at moon and stars😭🌙literally listing CAS on repeat since 2018 and it never gets old❤

It was November 2022, and I was close to graduating. I had only one or two exams left. During that time, I was seeing Claudia, the only soulmate I had ever met. We had a beautiful story, but one evening while we were starting to go out together, she kissed another person. I distanced myself without cutting ties. We continued going out, drinking, and kissing, but I was always on the edge. I couldn't feel as in love as I was before. Time passed, she left for Berlin, then Vienna. When she returned to Bologna where I was studying, we promised to see each other and do the sunrise like we used to, wandering around the city, drinking, playing the guitar, and having fun with our friends. One of those nights, we were supposed to go together, as we had promised since the first days we met at the Cigarettes after Sex concert in Bologna. But I couldn't bring myself to do it. It would have been too emotionally overwhelming for me. Every time I listen to the song, all our nights come to mind - waking up together, having lunches at home, stealing kisses outside the venues, dancing to the songs while holding each other.
