Fuuuuuuuck. This is surely one of the most beautiful Chvrches songs ever written.
I hadn't planned on staying up all night listening to Chvrches, but here I am.

@@YouNicIceYNI No way. This album is very decent but they haven't come close to TBOWYB since it came out.
CHVRCHES ARE BACK!! Their new album is their best work in years, after 1st album and some good singles like Death Stranding. They balance synthpop, electronic very good again. Making it so emotional like their first songs. Welcome back! :')
god, i've been listening to this album on loop and this one and lullabies just get me emotional every fucking time. chvrches IS a blessing.
After listening through the album, this is the one that really sticks out to me. Soooo good!

I'd say give Asking for a Friend another shot. The beat drop at 2:20 is out of this world. Also the John Carpenter remix of Good Girls I love- kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6SJ2bSjeJzZcbg.html
I was scared the singles gave away the rest of the album but this one here proves how creative and talented Chvrches really are
Musical perfection!!! Who’s with me!!!!
Their production is the finest here. I'm happy to hear great songs of them like this.
@joesaiditstrue
Жыл бұрын
I felt like production took a hit on EOE and LID, everything felt kinda overproduced/plastic compared to all their prior albums. this one feels to me like they're going back to their roots, i could be completely wrong on how they produced Screen Violence but i feel like her voice is back to being more blended into the music rather than being way out in front like it was the last 2 albums
That drum loop is so Firestarter, love it. Amazing album. Getting snippets of The Sundays (Static & Silence era) in some of the vocal at various points through the album
no words just tears
Chvrches is the only band who consistently puts out music that I play on repeat. This music truly touches my soul 🥰🎧
Another classic for the ages. THANK YOU CHVRCHES!!!
Anyone else new to Chvrches and sort of old (50) like me? I like this a lot it kinda takes me back to 80s and 90s and after so much turmoil it's a place I can go...
This album is a gift that keeps on giving. Who could be disappointed with such encapsulating lyrics and beautiful Synthpop styles of new age 80s feel songs. Chvrches forever!
This is their best song ever. No doubt.

One of the best music albums I have heard in a while. I have always been impressed with how they have refined and improved with every album release while simultaneously staying true to their genre. Never leaving form but constantly growing.
This is so beautiful! On repeat for the past hour already! Thank you so much!
CHVRCHES never disappoints with their deep cuts Hope this becomes the next single
THE CVRE really influenced this album. I'm so glad these guys are carrying this legacy through the modern era

bit shouty though
I really loved this melancholy on the song... especially the 'violin' intro! Lauren's voice on 'when I'm gone'... I felt that!
It's when you see footage of this live, you realise just how many of the sounds on here are coming from the guitar and bass. This band understand production and they love their guitar pedals! In fact, Martin has been building his own and they've just collaborated with a stomp pedal company to release a pedal called Screen Violence named after the album
Omg this is my new favorite of Chvr 💖😄
The perfect candidate for the next Official Music Video
Ok this is my fav from the album
This is the most 90s thing I've heard in HOURS. And I have zero problems with that.
Your songs always light me up, love from Taiwan.
Had a dream your father died I couldn't scream I couldn't cry The second night, I dreamt you drowned You couldn't fight You were not found These violent delights Keep creeping into my nights And they're reading my rites And I'll never sleep alone again And these violent delights Keep bleeding into the light And I'll never be right But they'll never sleep alone again when I'm gone When I'm gone A photograph will steal your soul An epitaph won't make you whole If I disappear, thеy'll say I killed myself I nevеr feared for my own health These violent delights Keep creeping into my nights And they're reading my rites And I'll never sleep alone again And these violent delights Keep bleeding into the light And I'll never be right But they'll never sleep alone again when I'm gone When I'm gone I don't want to see it I don't want to see it I don't want to sleep alone, no I don't want to see it I don't want to see it Never sleep alone again, no I don't want to see it I don't want to see it I don't want to sleep alone, no I don't want to see it I don't want to see it Never sleep alone again when I'm gone These violent delights Keep creeping into my nights And they're reading my rites And I'll never sleep alone again And these violent delights Keep bleeding into the light And I'll never be right But they'll never sleep alone again when I'm gone When I'm gone Alone again when I'm gone When I'm gone

Can't get enough of this 🔥
“These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which as they kiss consume. The sweetest honey Is loathsome in his own deliciousness And in the taste confounds the appetite. Therefore love moderately; long love doth so; Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.” ― William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet ... here is the quote...

looks like this song was written in a darker place than usual, but I love it
This whole album is amazing, I just hope Lauren is okay because as a whole, the album is also incredibly dark. Really hope she is okay and knows there are people there for her. Can't bear to lose another favourite artist like when Chester went

I think it's why Passion Pit stepped away a bit too, ended up making a whole secret album based on his experiences with bipolar disorder and since then he's just been releasing stuff to streaming and that's it. The music industry as a whole has serious issues with mental health. Still, for a lot of artists (myself included) making stuff like this is a vent that helps.

Agree, this album is amazing and their new style impressively good, while dark and even somewhat angry. It can be reflected in their (her) music, and even Lauren's new look... she used to be so cute and nice, now she looks a bit more mature and serious. She looks good and always pretty though, but I hope she's doing okay too.

All her music in my opinion has darkness to it or loss etc - like she’s so light but yet so dark...I guessing she’s an INFJ- I can relate lol! Light on the outside dark on the inside and so wise about relationships and love/loss so young. She sings what I am thinking so eloquently- her song writing is A+!
