Chukchi native woman in traditional dress gives an amazing performance of throat-singing (sometimes called over-tone singing). The song was recorded at the Culture Palace in Anadyr, Russia on 29 September 2013 during the Beringia Heritage Conference.

Hi! I would like to explain It. This isn't overtone singing, like in Tuva, this is manipulation with breath, like in Katajjaq of Inuit people in Canada.

@* It is maybe, because tuvan throat singing named Khöömei countains overtone and this chukchi style is also throat singing, like inuit throat singing. So, It is just something, like word play, or mistake of definitions.

Makes sense. The Chukchis are the closest living relatives to Native Americans and First Nations outside of the Americas.
