I was just listening to Smokestack Lightning from the Green on Red album No Free Lunch and thinking how much they reminded me of the Flaming Groovies when KZread recommended this!

Great Job

I was there when Chuck showed the guys the chord changes for this. Roy Loney was coming by to sit in that night and this was one of his old band's tunes. Turned out to be a real crowd pleaser, so they occasionally pull it out for us. That's "Willie Mays up at bat" that Chuck is teaching to the crowd at the end- learn it people, (you let me down last night, S.F.)

this is my opinion was the best song released during its time. Flamin Groovies live on with bands like this covering them.

It's not a FLAMIN' GROOVIES song. They are my favorite band, but this one is by JOHNNY KIDD AND THE PIRATES from UK

Chuck nous la joue à l'anglaise trop pop....même en France..peu comprenne enfin si les fans des beatles...La meilleure version que j'ai entendu en reprise est par l'ancien Del Lords! Les Yum Yums ont fait des reprises bien mieux et leur dernier album "for those about to Pop" est franchement terrible

The Yum Yums are not even close to this. They sound like Blink 182. Horrible cover.
