Norris's journey to fame began in the world of martial arts. He became a student of Korean martial arts Taekwondo while stationed in South Korea during his time in the United States Air Force. He excelled in the sport, eventually earning black belts in multiple disciplines, including Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, and Karate.
Transitioning from martial arts to acting, Norris found success in the film industry, particularly in action movies. He gained widespread recognition for his roles in films such as "Way of the Dragon" (1972), where he faced off against Bruce Lee in an iconic martial arts showdown, and "Good Guys Wear Black" (1978), which established him as a leading action star.
However, Norris's breakthrough came with the long-running television series "Walker, Texas Ranger," which aired from 1993 to 2001. In the show, Norris portrayed Cordell Walker, a tough and principled Texas Ranger. The series became a massive hit, solidifying Norris's status as a pop culture icon.
Throughout his career, Chuck Norris has leveraged his fame and skills to build a successful business empire. He epitomizes the American dream, rising from humble beginnings to become a global icon and successful entrepreneur. Walker, Texas Ranger. Hands down with his sidekick Jimmy Trivette. In Season 1 he drove a GMC pickup everytime he rounded up a gang of criminals he would drop the back tailgate open and within a short minutes have them loaded to have a nearby sheriff lock em up. One of favorite episodes was "Codename, Dragonfly" with guest Marshall Teague who played a terrorist and totaled Walkers Dodge Pickup before Walker put him out of Commission. Great episode.

The Ocagon or The Hitman. Chuck is certainly missed in the film industry. Action movies today don't have the same feel as those like Chuck, Sly and Arnold made.

How the hell can you use the phrase"Left his family in tears" then go onto say he has a net worth over $70 million? Plus you entirely left out all the moneys he's earned for his charity "KICKSTART FOR KIDS". Chuck and his Twin brother Arron have helped over 20,000 students at absolutely no charge.

I think Keanu Reeves might be a current day Icon like Chick Norris, but not in Hand to hand fighting. Keanu is a real bad-ass with a gun and other weapons.
