The events leading up to her death have been the subject of much speculation and controversy. The group had been drinking heavily the evening of November 28, and a reported argument broke out between Wagner and Wood. According to Wagner's account, he and Walken had a heated discussion about Wood's career, which led to Wood leaving the room and going to bed. Sometime later, Wagner realized she was missing.
Wood's body was discovered floating face down in the Pacific Ocean, about a mile away from the yacht, the Splendour. An inflatable dinghy was found nearby, suggesting she might have tried to leave the yacht. The initial coroner's report ruled her death as an accidental drowning, with contributing factors of hypothermia and alcohol intoxication. The report noted that she had several bruises on her body, which were attributed to her possibly falling overboard and struggling in the water.
However, lingering questions about the exact circumstances of her death persisted for decades. Davern claimed there had been a violent argument between Wagner and Wood before she went missing.
In 2018, the case was reclassified again, with Wagner named as a person of interest, though he has consistently denied any involvement. The investigation into Natalie Wood's death remains open, and while no new definitive evidence has come to light, the case continues to captivate the public's imagination, blending Hollywood glamour with enduring mystery. The discussion about her death keeps continuing and Robert Wagner still gets questioned. But now, one other person has finally decided to speak his mind.

If figures. He looks like an alien to me. He stood by and looked the other way, while Natalie Wood died in his presence. He should have stopped Wagner from attacking her. You call that a man? Now, 30 years later, he is still lying about it? wow.

It was not, Wagner and Walken were caught in the act and they were afraid she would tell on them is what I have always heard. If that wasn't the truth Walken should have told the truth. He is guilty in her murder just like Wagner since he covered it up.

In my personal opinion I do believe that her husband knew of her being terrified of dark water and during an argument he then pushed her in and watched her drown. There were witnesses hearing her calls for help but then the cries for help went quiet. Christopher was not involved. He stayed in his room when the shouting began between Natalie and Robert. I believe he has a sense of guilt.

I think Wagner and the Captain of the boat, who were both drunk, should be charged with criminal neglect of their passengers on board at the very least. They both had a responsibility to ensure that all passengers on board were safe at all times. This tragedy could have been avoided of she was wearing a life jacket or ski belt. If there was no water found in her lungs, it means she was dead before she hit the water! It also means somebody is lying here! Natalie was a beautiful and very talented actress and did not deserve to die. May she R.I.P. ❤

  • @MexicoDigDoctor

@shirleyminassian1547. Being a good swimmer is in no way the same as knowing how to rescue someone from the water! It can be very dangerous for the rescuer, especially if the drowning person is panicking, because they can unintentionally take you down with them. I'm old now, but was a surfer chick in SoCal for decades. Most surfers have some training in water rescue as did I, but it can be extremely dangerous, especially when rescuing a panicking person who is of your own size or larger. N. Wood had been deathly afraid of the water since childhood. She would have been panicking like crazy. She was also intoxicated, and the fact that it was dark out only makes the situation worse. The first rule of rescue from any situation is to NEVER attempt it if there is a strong possibility that you yourself would die in the attempt. God bless! 🤗🇲🇽

I think if the family took Wagner and prosecuted in a civil court, the family would have won. He knew Natalie was afraid of water and couldn't swim. He eas a part of all the heavy drinking. Wagner lost 0:00 his temper and smashed glass out of jealousy. They got into a heated fight. One of the biggest fights according to the Captain he had ever heard. Wagner knows ehat happened from there. (Natalie had many bruises on her body. Not consistant with falling in water or rubbing against boat. Wagner told sea captain not to call police upon finding Natalie missing. Why? If you love someone you would immediately summon for help. Where was Walden? If Wagner was frought. The captain was looking to call police. Wouldn't they have woken Walden? Than why when Walden finally spoke about Natalie didn't he mention all these details on how and why they finally notified the police. Think he isnt being truthful!

I believe that Thomas Naguchi, the famous "Coroner of the Stars" agreed that it was an accident compounded by alcohol intake. Wood always fled rooms when people argued, and she evidently slipped and fell after releasing an inflatable craft. She tried to make it to shore, but hypothermia and the weight of the water in her clothes defeated her. Check Naguchi's books.

Not sure why we're looking to Walken to provide anything definitive on this, since he was closed up in his room during Natalie's death. Unless Wagner confesses he was at least present when she died and tells us what actually happened, or Natalie's ghost rises up and tells us, I don't believe we'll ever really know the truth.

Natalie got off that boat fast when she saw what she saw. Natalie Wood was terrified of water and had bad dreams throughout her life of drowning so getting off that boat (in a dingy) was not easy for her. @@degsbabe I understand what you’re saying, but I was merely speaking of the narrative itself. These individuals will never confess to telling the truth. They will take the events of that fateful night to their graves and it’s really nothing you, me or anyone else can do about it. So to me at least, it’s as if we’re beating a dead horse for a lack of a better phrase, to try to get any kind of different information, or arriving at any different conclusion of the events that night. Natalie Wood was one of my favorite actresses. I miss her dearly and it’s ashamed she left this earth the way she did. On the other hand, the people that she left behind, need to continue to celebrate her life and all the accomplishments she achieved while she was here on earth. She was a great actress, a great mother, and a great person. Let’s remember her as such and move forward. Life is for the living. Wagner and Walken will have their day in court, heavenly court. They will be dealt with at that time. Until then, I’ve enjoyed reading the comments about this, however, this will be the last time I will be speaking on this topic.

Walken went to bed leaving Ms. Wood and Wagner alone. The Captain was in his qaurters. There was a very loud fight between Wood and Wagner. The Captain heard it and Walken surely did. A woman on a boat about 100 yeards away hesrd a woman screaming. She thought the woman was screaming help me. It seems obvious to me that Wagner struck Wood. He may have strangled her to death. Likely not intentional murder but now she is dead. So, lower her into the water and release the dingy. This is most likely what happened. The woman who heard the scream/cry for help soon after recieved a note in her office mailbox suggesting she keep quiet about what she heard if she valued her life. I di not believe that Walken or the Captain witnessed her death. Walken's career was climbing and speaking out could have ruined it.

Everyone is drunk and the pushed her in or she fell in either way, they didn't really look for Her. And they told the boat driver to not turn on the lights to even see her. So it's not like they were really looking for her Meaning even the boat driver said they told me not to put on the lights. Well, how do you look for somebody without any lights? They didn't want to.
