He used to write books when he was a teenager. He wrote the songs but didn't compose them afaik so it is not suprising that they come off as "corporate".

Hot take, but I genuinely prefer Mask over almost everything on this album, despite Mask being his objectively worst song by a long shot. At the very least it was entertaining to hear Dream trying to sing with emotion, instead of sounding like an AI generated 2010s radio playlist. It also spawned the sus remix, which was straight fire.

this album is the epitome of music for kids. its completely nondescript and safe, and i cannot for a second imagine that dream went into his music career with any passion. the only motivation behind this that i can fathom is money, as if he had an ounce of passion for his craft it would show. either that or hes just that disconnected from music as a whole, like if a person that doesnt like music made an album

Brad, just because you don't understand Dream's immense genius doesn't mean he doesn't have it. You see, Dream is very similar to Jesus H. Christ in many ways. For one, his minecraft manhunt videos singlehandedly solved the poverty crisis. He also created all art and music with his masterpiece song Roadtrip. I actually listened to this EP on the day it released and I felt nothing. The short portion where Brad was playing random funny sounds over Spotlight was more entertaining and made me feel more than the twenty minutes of Dream I sat through.
