Chronic Pancreatitis (& Pancreatic Insufficiency) Signs & Symptoms (& Why They Occur)
Chronic Pancreatitis is a condition involving chronic inflammation of the pancreas, which can be caused by long-term alcohol consumption, acute pancreatitis, autoimmune conditions, and gallstones. The pancreas has important endocrine and digestive functions, including producing insulin and making digestive enzymes like trypsin. In the case of chronic inflammation of the pancreas, the pancreatic tissue can become injured or damaged, leading to decreased pancreatic functioning. In this lesson, we discuss the signs and symptoms that occur due to the inflammation of the pancreas, including symptoms that occur due to damage to pancreatic tissues that results in pancreatic insufficiency

I have just been recently diagnosed with EPI exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. frankly I suspect I've had it my whole life you can be born with this Don't immediately assume you're at fault because you've had a drink or two in your lifetime.
