She is originally from the Philippines where she was born and raised. Her mother is a Filipina who got married to a Croatian and then moved to Croatia while she was still in grade school. She quickly learned the Croatian language and became very proficient with it ata very young age. She's quite a talent indeed.

Yes, Criztel is fantastic. Watching the audience. reaction, she really touched their emotions with her Acapella of traditional music. I recall another acapella of traditional Bulgarian music that touch the emotions, also sang by a non-Bulgarian in a similar contest. Lately, there is a very good singer who composed his parody songs that are truly entertaining in America/ Britain got talent who Is not an American nor British. He is introduced as AYAM (I am) TV.
