These men were the end of an era. With the passing of Sir Christopher, it has become painfully obvious that there will never again be three actors (let alone one) who will emit the level of class that these 3 men did. I'm not okay with that. It makes me sad. But, this alarming realization does make Vincent, Peter and Chris all the more special. For over two years this era has been over. I feel the void more and more each day. I'm glad I have access to their interviews and films. It creates a warnesss in my heart that not much else can. I'm only 36, but I grew up on these films. Pre-internet...I had accumulated all of their films on VHS by the mid nineties (paying upwards to 200.00 for one out of print video tape). I was a teenage detective hunting down these films without the use of any internet. Lots of reading, researching and long distance calls were involved (and pissed off parents I might add). I have since owned all of their films on DVD...and now bluray. I will continue to purchase them in whatever form they come out on. God bless these men and their families.

She always told me growing up in the 90s that the world was going to shit and people were becoming more and more evil all the way back in 70s. Each decade people say that, but yea now I can say this is something that is higher then ever before. Even in the years I’ve lived from the 90s too the early 2000s and now. Every five years things change. People have less integrity now then ever before. Less people have values and morals

On a whole... As much as I like Christopher Lee and I do. I'd rather sit with Peter Cushing , Vincent Price and depending on how he was behaving at the time Oliver Reed. Peter Cushing was indeed a gentleman. Quiet soft spoken and a man who loved his fans. Vincent Price who in reality wasn't anywhere near as scary as he behaves in movies. He had a wonderful nature and sence of humour. And made no bones about his deep care for fans. For a horror movie actor who didn't scare young fans who adored him. Oliver Reed I see as an amazing talent . But he was far too unpredictable. When he was drunk (unfortunately more often than not) no person was safe from his practical jokes and sadly often bad temper. He was ok when he was sober. Like he was here. Christopher Lee still scares the hell out of me.

Afraid of typecasting, Christopher Lee relocated to LA in 1977, where he won many leading roles in American movies. One he turned down was the role of Dr Rumack, made famous by Leslie Neilsen in the 1980 cult comedy 'Airplane'. He said he kicked himself about missing out on that movie's success. His appearance on 'This is Your Life' shows what a great sense of humour he had - Leslie Neilsen was great of course, but I would love to have seen the great Christopher Lee in a full on comedy role like that. I'm sure he'd have been amazing.
"It was a ...lovely... party......... " ....... and chills run down the spine of the listener.......
Great actor..talk about nobility..his ancestors were nobility..total upper class. He was to marry the King of Swedens daughter..but called it off due to him not having funds as an actor. He had a great singing voice and sang with heavy metal and orchestra bands. Peter Cushing and Vincent Price were horror film royalty. Vincent price being the greatest actor of them all in any genre.
Why does this feel so magical?? We need more souls like Christopher on planet Earth

It is because Great Britain was still Great Britain then .... you are right though, it was magical to watch!
For me, the only actor worthy of the Count Dracula role.. an utterly charismatic gentleman.
These men (Peter Vincent and Christopher) were the end of an era. Collecting their films (at such a young age) gave me incentive to work and save as much as I could. I have since owned all of their films on DVD...and now bluray. I will continue to purchase them in whatever form they come out on. God bless these men and their families.

I grew up watching them in the 80s. No internet then and you were lucky to get a VHS tape. The demise of these three actors in heartbreaking. I used to live near Peter Cushing in Kent, when I was at University there. Never got to meet any of them. All 3 of them were just charming, intelligent and unique. Bless them. I miss them to this day

Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing - these great gothic stars could never been replaced. They came from another era and had the faces and the presence for these characters. There ist no modern actor who had their qualities oder their background.

I'm 32 and I know exactly how you feel
Christopher Lee was such an amazing actor and a lovely person
There's not many of these videos I can sit through these days but this was absolutely legendary!!! I loved the way Oliver Reed stood up as soon as Peter Cushing walked in,. It showed a great deal of respect..
Three of my cinematic heroes-Christopher, Peter and Vincent, all incredibly intelligent, articulate and genteel. Dear Oli Reed (much missed also), on his very best behaviour, visibly touched by the event.
Turns out Christopher Lee was a super nice guy. I read his autobiography but that's more a work history. Great guy.
A handsome chap. He could have been another Cary Grant really. He preferred different roles though, which he is now famous for. He's 51 here as well and duelling away at the beginning like someone half his age.
Besides been a brilliant actor he was so very handsome.
I was lucky enough to meet him and get autograph at a pro celeb golf match.I was about 8 yrs old.My mum told me he was Dracula. He was carrying a large golf club bag and I offered to hold his golf bag so he could sign for me. He said it was too heavy for me and went out if his way to put his bag against a wall. So kind of him to bother.

Sweet story. I don't know anything about Christopher Lee outside his films, but he does come across as a warm-hearted and unassuming man in this program.

Sian Jones From what I heard, she got jealous of the attention that he paid to the fans as she got older. Her stupid ass husband made it worse..When Christopher died-she would not release the location of his final resting place -if he has one.
