Christopher Lee - Ghost Riders in the Sky

Музыка

Christopher Lee sings the Ghost Riders In the Sky
Best version ever, isn't it...
An old cowboy went riding out one dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way
When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed cows he saw
A-plowing through the ragged sky -- and up the cloudy draw!
Yippie yi yay
Yippie yi ooh
The Ghost Riders in the sky!
Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky
For he saw the Riders coming hard -- and he heard their mournful cry!
Yippie yi yay
Yippie yi ooh
The Ghost Riders in the sky!
Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, and shirts all soaked with sweat
He's riding hard to catch that herd, but he ain't caught 'em yet
'Cause they've got to ride forever on that range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire -- as they ride on hear their cry!
Yippie yi yay
Yippie yi ooh
The Ghost Riders in the sky!
As the riders loped on by him he heard one call out his name:
"If you want to save your soul from Hell a-riding on our range
Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride
Trying to catch the Devil's herd -- across these endless skies!"
Yippie yi yay
Yippie yi ooh
The Ghost Riders in the sky!
The Ghost Riders in the sky!

Lee had no problem channeling something of the Macabre. From witnessing a guillotine execution in France in the presence of a euphoric cheering crowd at the age of 17, to serving as an intelligence officer in WW2, he had plenty of real life experience to draw on for imbuing his dark and serious characters with the visceral and real. R.I.P. Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee, descendant of Charlemagne, 6'5" larger than life talent and legend in your own time.

Sir Christopher Lee really wanted to be in a movie with Clint Eastwood, they both had very awesome accolades and life stories. Ik I am six years late to the reply but Sir Christopher Lee really admired Clint Eastwood and I wander if he ever inspired him or if Sir Christopher Lee was inspired by cowboys he met back in the day when he was younger. guess I'll never know. Anyways cheers this is an awesome gem of a song.

Christopher Lee was more of a bass-baritone. Remember that his voice was a bit lighter and higher when he was young and got so low only in his older years. A true bass has a bass voice since his teenage years. Christopher kinda turned into a bass, but wasn't one from the start.

Didn't he tell that he would've become an opera singer but didn't have the money to actually do it?

Margus Traumann And so he becomes a heavy metal singer instead, occasionally dabbling in country and western (as demonstrated by this video), and goes into acting to help him achieve the inroads and wherewithal to music in the meantime, which was bound to work for him because Christopher Lee has got mad skills.

He was told he could be a world class opera singer because he already had the voice for it at the age of 20, he then decided to make symphonic metal and Christmas metal
