Don't know how many times I've listened to this song, but i still get teary eyed when they get to the part that quotes the actual farewell address till the end. Thanks for posting. Christopher Jackson is the definitive Washington.

Benny from the original Broadway musical The Heights, one of Lin-Manuel Miranda's groom's men in his wedding, George Washington in Hamilton and a member of Lin-Manuel's freestyle rap group "Free Style Love Supreme". That's a brotherly relationship. I love these two.

My addled brain 🧠 was going, “how could he confuse those 2 characters?” I will admit I’m relatively new to Christopher Jackson’s remarkable arsenal of talent so am unacquainted with his full résumé. I haven’t seen him as Benny in #ITH but will search it out. Thanks for the education!

That was cool of him! The last song that was played was "A Night To Remember", but the last performance with all the kids was a 90's themed song that Wayne Brady made up.

Bro what does this song have to do with him owning slaves- 😭 literally almost all of them had slaves. They’re dead, slavery is abolished. Let’s move on. He still did great things. We can acknowledge the good and bad he did without lumping them together.

@@no.8952 Well, even after he died, his wife still had slaves... Note: "George Washington left instructions in his will to emancipate the people enslaved by him, upon the death of Martha Washington..." So they were still slaves and that was not great... George was OK but even he knew what he did was not cool. Personally, I don't think he really cared all that much...
