I totally agree! To have a recurring Trans character on primetime would have been a true trendsetter of its time. That was back in 2013 when the Trans community was getting much more exposure. Gosh, can you imagine Jayvon?? Lousette with Carl? Haha, or Lousette could have been a stalker of Carl. Funny times.

Christopher Aguilar Dating is actually what I had in mind. I didn't know Lousette was transgender, I think they have had a opportunity to help get past transphobia. They caught flake for that episode though, because of how Carl is basically disgusted. I have to agree, but I think they could have fixed it. If it was up to me, I would have had Carl and Lousette dating for some episodes. Laverne Cox will be staring in a CBS show this year though. Unfortunately Mike and Molly is done, but hey who's to say won't play another character like that? After Caitlyn Jenner, I would say trans roles are probably increasing. It's always been there like in TransAmerica which I loved, but not mainstream.

@Kissalude Let me explain my mindset back then and I totally hear you and learned so much more later. When I made that 1st comment I had no idea the character was transgender, I thought she was a cross dresser, even then I was not cool with Carl's reaction, that is dangerous. But when I learned the character was transgender, I was not cool with it. Fast forward to what I think now. 1. I don't believe men should play trans women. 2. the scene does play on that dangerous misconception that trans women are cross dressers. A lot of trans women and men get killed over this stuff yearly, so I'm not cool with it. Now I wouldn't make that comment and I still love Chris, he's great and I think he'd agree. If I was writing for that show and it still was on, I'd cast trans woman in the role, Carl would have a serious relationship and there would be nothing like this. I' am so sorry for what you been through. I just want to say I hear you and learned. I know gender is more than our private part, men are not gay or bi for liking a trans woman, the T slur is not cool, trans women and men aren't cross dressers, it's not a choice, trans women and men are real women and men no difference, and that chasers are disgusting and transphobic. I do just want you to know I grew from then and am a real ally. I did later work with a trans guy. And also I don't add trans like that, just because it's applicable in this conversation. I hope that clears everything up and I am sincere, and I'm not mad or anything, I do understand where you're coming from.

Msflamingo, I never learned the brand for my shoes! Dang it, I wish I'd have looked. They were fierce shoes. I think they got them custom made from Hollywood Blvd. Such good times.
