@@samanthacole4395 It's not. Even if we're strictly talking about type 2 there are medications that taken long term can affect your sugar and cause pancreatic changes that often aren't reversible. High dosage steroids (like Prednisone) for example can alter blood chemistry over time and people can become diabetic. Which typically doesn't go away over time even when medication ends. And there are many health issues that may require the use of such medications long term (auto immune diseases, cancer, etc).

My take on this is what makes the difference is how you lose the weight. I think "some" people that lose the weight by by-pass surgery they lose the weight too fast and they look older. When I lost about 50 to 60 pounds I lost it through diet and exercise and it took about a year and something, and it didn't impact my looks nor did I have a lot extra skin. Just my opinion.

@@circusbrains having surgery is work. First of all, it’s a life threatening surgery, so just him making the choice to do it deserves respect, but there is also a huge amount of recovery after having gastric bypass and after healing you have to make major lifestyle changes to ensure the surgery works. Im 24, my mom passed away a year and half ago, 3 months after my dad passed away from cancer. (They were divorced and separated) she was 65 and she had congestive heart failure, COPD and she was a chainsmoker. She would not stop smoking cigarettes or lower her sodium intake and it caused her COPD to unleash its wrath upon her one last time and caused a multi organ failure from lack of oxygen. I was living with her and trying to take care of her but she wasnt even trying to take care of herself. I understand that smoking is an addiction and I come from a family with almost of every kind of addiction, but she wouldnt even try to get help for it. And after my dad passed away she completely gave up taking care of herself. I was a 22 year old guy whose parents both passed away within 4 months of each other, and I was my moms only child, but I have 2 half sisters who are a lot older and live far away. I just wish my mom would have tried to help me help her more.

What an inspiring interview. He looks and clearly feels great. I loved him in You, Me & Dupree, Mike & Molly and Young Sheldon. I have to catch up on like the last two seasons of Bob hearts Abishola but after watching this interview I am more likely to do so. I like his simple advice just take it one day at a time don't overwhelm yourself with the desired end result.

@@StrongnBeautiful He was Georgie's first mentor letting him work at his auto shop. He was the one who told George that Georgie has a gift detecting where leaks are on tires. Georgie learned how to run his own business and sell from from Dale. And likely later the tire business from Mandy's father. This leads him to be the successful tire doctor that gets on Sheldon's nerves.

I am very happy for him. I just hope when he quits smoking, he will be able to still maintain his nice weight. It's very difficult I've heard. I've had friends who quit and they piled the weight back on sadly, but quitting smoking will be much better for him in the end. Hopefully though he will do it without any problem, I'm sure rooting for him.

Billy is one of the nicest comics off stage. Show was fantastic but he was so willing to just engage with my entire family afterwards. Hope for another 50 years of him cracking jokes.

The transformation of his mind, his way of thinking about himself and his place in the world, are more impressive than the weight loss. Thats the hardest thing to change. Much respect.
