I was a midwife and I diagnosed twins in the tiniest tummy ever..at full term. No one could believe it, the doctor never saw it either. In those days you weren't allowed to show concern on your face when caring for a patient, and as I was palpating the Mum to be...who had a previous child and according to her records, was exactly the same size and weight etc, as her first pregnancy, so no one had any idea. I felt a bump at the top of her abdomen and another bump, engaging down below...I traced the spine along, seeing in my mind's eye, the baby, then wondered about the other parts of an upside down baby, whith head engaging in the pelvis. Mother said..."You look worried, am I ok"? I said...I'm not sure exactly which way up this baby is...but it seems to me there might be another one! She laughed, we both laughed, as I was a few weeks away from my final training, so I was able to feign ignorance! I contacted the head midwife who came and verified my diagnosis of twins, the doctor came and she delivered healthy twins, over 6 pounds each. No one could believe it, as she was the size of this actress in the movie, but had a much smaller baby bump, than Natasha! Of course I was "famous" on the maternity ward and floor for 5 mins, then back to business as usual!

I love this series Royal Baby on the way!!!

I'm glad I watched this clip because now I know what not to watch. It's obvious the script is written with a completely feminist slant. We have a woman doctor Who is bigger than life, comes on way too strong to make her point, even to the point of denigrating the man she is disagreeing with, referring to him as "little man". Is this supposed to make her look strong? I think it makes her look arrogant. Also, the man acts like a complete idiot. This is no accident. This was deliberately done. One other thing that the feminist writers may want to keep in mind the next time they attempt such an endeavor - a prince should be masculine, it is his masculinity that makes him attractive. In this clip, the prince exhibits concern and caring, which is good. However, he is acting more feminine than the woman doctor. And his makeup is done deliberately to emasculate his looks. As a writer, I can attest that this movie, as represented by this short clip, is a fail. It is more about the writers' personal biases than it is interested in creating a truly romantic love story. Feminine men and masculine women do not make for a romantic storyline.

Oh god. Thank you. I agree 100% with everything you said. I don't know why recently there's this trend of creating movies with "strong females" which actually instead portrays women as arrogant and unreasonable while making the men look foolish. I want a show with a "strong female" who wears dresses, doesn't behave like a tomboy, is respectful while also being smart, witty and not a pushover. That, in my opinion, is what a strong female is. Male lead needs to be masculine to further emphasize the strength of female lead. If her partner is weak, her strength does not stand out at all. In the land of the blind, the one eye is king. I don't want a one-eye female lead. I want a female lead who shines in the land where everyone has two perfect eyes.

Frankly I think "little man" was entirely called for. He was endangering the Mother had he insisted on traveling and in the car acted quite snide, dismissing her pains and concern again, as a Mother possibly going into labor which certainly couldn't have been healthy to do in a public place, not to mention he did keep vital information from her that would have gone into their decision making about when to arrive back into the country had they been made aware of it. The doctor was defending her patient and in that instance frankly she was quite right to assume taking a more aggressive stance was warranted considering his demands and tone he was speaking to her in, in her own hospital when he likely has no vague idea of Tasha's actual medical condition or the risk she's carrying while pregnant. She simply wanted to insure the best care possible and dealt with a hinderance to that care and rest that was necessary in the way she thought best-- the Monster-in-Law way which gets them out so why not a royal with no tact or care for his monarch's bride nor the actual health of the future heirs.
