Christmas Truffles with Keta Dog! This is video 5 of the Keta Dog Finds Truffles series filmed on December 25, 2023. Join my German Shepherd Dog, Keta (aka the Hound), and I, Megan (aka Figlet), as we hunt for the highly prized Oregon white truffle in the forests of Washington State. This dog loves to work and play--she'll find pretty much anything as long as she knows she'll get to play with me with a toy as her reward. I originally started her as a search and rescue k9 trained in tracking/trailing, article identification, and cadaver work. Scent work is scent work though and she now uses her nose to find hundreds of truffles each winter season.
