Here in Europe, in Christian families, it is a tradition to fast on Christmas Eve, which means that we do not eat meat, eggs, and dairy products on that day. We cook the food for Christmas a few days before Christmas and we have it almost until the New Year, then we start preparing the new food. 😂😂😂 We like to decorate earlier, we go to church more often, we don't pay much attention to gifts, but now it's modern, so a lot has changed. Basically, Christmas is the most important next to Easter, the two most joyful holidays. ❤️

One Christmas tradition we do every year is we make hot chocolate in to go cups with lids and we take it with us as we drive around and look at all the houses that are decorated with Christmas lights. We put on Christmas music and have hot chocolate and Christmas cookies as we decorate our Christmas tree together as a family. Every Christmas Eve we go out to a nice steak dinner and usually meet friends who eat dinner with us. I always make a scrumptious Christmas breakfast and a delicious Christmas dinner on Christmas day.

Our special christmas tradition is to get dressed for the outdoors, get our little sleigh and walk to a farmer that sells trees 🎄 we drink some hot cocoa, pick out our christmas tree, saw it down and bring it home to decorate. We have done this with our son every year and still at 10 years old he loves it. We live in Norway where its most common with real trees 🥰🎄 Merry Christmas everybody ❤

Everything is so cute in the kitchen can’t wait to see the rest of the house. My Christmas tradition is getting birthday balloons from dollar tree and on Christmas morning we sing happy birthday to Jesus and release the balloons 🎈 the kids sometimes draw pictures or make cards as well.

Hey girl hey! I love the Christmas Decor. Some of our traditions are watching a Christmas movie every night until December 31st. Even though I watch them throughout the year. We bake cookies and drive around in our Christmas PJs with hot cocoa and cookies to look at the lights.

On the first we do Xmas pjs and an advent calender and usually a Xmas activity ie colouring pad, Xmas art set etc. Xmas eve we look at Xmas lights and watch a Xmas movie

A little tip for you I put twinkle lights around my one picture, I took a command hook that has the Velcro and I took the batter pack and Velcro to wall that way it was easy to get to

The kids get to open one gift on Christmas Eve, along with pajamas. My husband wants to give them the new pajamas the day after thanksgiving this year, so everyone has a chance to enjoy them. and this year I’m considering doing a Christmas Eve box for everyone. This year I started decorating the week of Halloween. (Earliest I’ve ever done it) -but I’m glad I did as it gives me plenty of time to pull items out and tweak them. I’ve got a large home with four kids also, and I do every room pretty much. So it’s a lot, and takes a long time.

i got the cutest little microwave stand on amazon,i had mine on the countertop as well it helped free up so much space and the stand has storage too plus its out of the way. thats an idea if you have the space.

Our family tradition is, when I was pregnant with my daughter my due date was 25th November, however by 1st December I was still having no signs of her making an appearance, so decided to put christmas decorations up to cheer myself up. She was born on the 4th December. My daughter will be 19 next month and we have done our decorations every year on the 1st December for 19 years now

Love your new house🥰 we usually do homemade hot chocolate and cookies.. family picture in front of our tree in our matching Jammies night before Christmas. Then our biggest one we’ve done for the last 5 years and we all agree it’s our favorite way! Instead of waking up to a ton of toys that they will eventually get bored of, break or lose.. we do a small “traditional” Christmas. Then we do a vacation to a new place every Christmas for a week. I feel like the memories outweigh the toys and Christmas morning disaster! We recently started doing the same for Birthdays as well, we give the kids the option.. a weekend getaway or a party. The last year or 2 all the kids have picked the getaway.

Our family usually does a gingerbread making contest and we also do a white elephant gift exchange which is always fun. Then on Christmas Eve when the kids are in bed, my husband and I watch “it’s a wonderful life” while we wrap presents!

Both my boys are January babies. The 3rd and the 24th. We don’t do birthday parties we take them somewhere they want to go for a weekend instead, they seem to enjoy it more!
