My favorite part about these songs is that some parts make total sense, while random bits catch you off guard and are WAY harder to figure out the meaning of. There comes a point when you start to analyse these lyrics on a deeper level, and everything suddenly seems a lot less random. It's quite clear to me that this song is mainly about how Christmas has gone from being about loving and caring, to just shopping as much as possible (even though some people seem to think shopping makes you happier). It's weird to think that I once thought Bill Wurtz just put words together randomly without much thought put into it - he is actually a true artist.

Like, you can see a person who is upset, maybe they are crying or staring despondent out the window. Whatever the case, if you look at them there is an inherent understanding of what that other person is experience. One of our greatest strengths as a species is our empathy and our ability to understand the emotions of others innately (ymmv, but it's a skill all of us have). So, by saying that English (or any other traditional language) isnt real but feeling are, one could interpret that as a statement that our connections with eachother extend beyond our normal capacity to communicate. On a deeper more fundamental level that doesnt require words to understand. Or that's just what I think. Anyway that was fun. Have a Merry Christmas or Holiday or Tuesday.

@@jjkm17 Don't think so because the English language developed over time and the structures it inhibits had to be deemed useful at some point in time, otherwise they wouldn't have survived the passing of time. I don't believe society would have carried unnecessary baggage in their language across centuries.
