This was my experience trying to target trigger fish in Christmas Island. They were probably the most fun/frustrating fish to go after. They're really spooky but somewhat plentiful. I heard from the other guys that it was somewhat like going after permit. They weren't as picky but combine the spooky factor and the real risk of breaking them off, it was a fun challenge.
