I am amazed that almost all you eat in Ukraine is made from 'scratch'! Very healthy way to eat :) Here in USA, much of what we eat..is already made at a factory and then frozen ..and then we just heat it up. We hope your Christmas meal was fun and Best Wishes on you and your families new year to come! 😇

Depending on the emblem on your car, it is a Czech Škoda made probably in the Czech Republic (if it was not made in Ukraine). At the beginning of the video on the table in kitchen are typical Czech buns with plums (maybe), which I love as a Czech very much. From the Czech Republic, I wish you good luck in the new year 2024 !! Sviata Vecheria in Czech it is called "svatá večeře", on December 24th, which day we called "Štědrý večer". We celebrated Christmas during December 24th to December 26th. December 25th = Boží hod.

I agree with Artem. Let Mother Nature get rid of the snow. Your meatless Christmas Eve feast is consistent with the Italian-American feast of seven fishes. No meat on that day we substitute with anchovies, shrimp, cod, sardines, mussels, clams and squid.

It is very interesting to see how Xmas traditions differ from one country to the next. And how traditions are sometimes imported or exported (in Denmark, some of our Christmas traditions are taken from Germany). Just a bit sad, that it took a war to "open" up international interest in Ukraine (and the Slavic world in general).
