I’ve been told my entire life that my emotions are wrong. I need to learn to keep them in check. It took me many years to recognize that only my emotions that made others uncomfortable were the ones I should keep in check. If my emotions came thru as being passionate about a new role at work, a new project, injustice for someone or something it was a good thing. When my emotions appeared in anger, crying, or hurt then I needed to keep them down and under control. I do recognize I need to regulate them but I was never taught to regulate them so I’m learning now late in life. I appreciated this information more than I can express in words adequately. 🙌🏼

This is so beautiful. I experienced an overwhelming love of God while I was in an English church. They were so appalled by that expression with my hands up 🙌🏾. I was literally shut down; and was advised later that they have to make sure that I was ok. And with the background slander that I had psychosis Thanks be to our Heavenly Father he pulled me out of that place with my head high Praise his Holy Name The best 🙌🏾

I love the idea I don't have to suppress my emotions and be a robot. I can have them but regulate them. How worship, being with others helps is so true. I put on praise music before I go to work. It plays in my head and has helped me through some rough moments. Especially as a covid nurse. I dreaded going to work.

All so good! What she said about some ministers having tunnel vision and only seeing the spiritual side is so true. I’ve witnessed that and I’ve witnessed the deep healing work of God in my life to heal my heart and set me free from depression, anxiety and fears. As Dr Henry Cloud says too in his “Changes that Heal” Book, churches and Christian’s can make the mistake that just tell hurting people “you need to pray more, read your Bible more, have more faith!” Ignoring the need to emotional healing and therefore pushing people further away from God and thus causing more hurts. I’ve been on both sides of the fence, having been hurt by other Christian’s in this area and guilty of the above too with shoving scriptures without recognizing the need for deep healing of emotional wounds! Holy Spirit come and fill all of your children and help us to do better. 1 THes. 5:23 you are faithful and you will do it!!! In Jesus’ name! Amen and amen!

Also love that about worship simulating the Vegas nerve. I’ve read where jumping in a cold pool will reset or stimulate our Vegas nerve, I would much rather worship with my family and church family, hug a friend for a minute or do something that makes me laugh! Such wisdom! Thank you for sharing your wisdom !! Iron sharpens iron!

Thank you for this program. It is so freeing to hear the knowledge from Dr Anita. As a Maori indigenous person of Aotearoa, New Zealand I find all western and mainstream cultured people in churches across NZ always use the scripture, there is no longer greek or jew; that we are a new creation in Christ Jesus, as a way to cancel out peoples cultural identity. Not their cultural identity but the culture of anyone who is not european or white sth african like they are. It is refreshing to hear someone embracing our entire parts of our being that God himself created us to be. And thank you Christine for hosting this conversation.

I was completely demonized by wrong soul ties and definitely felt the cold of death, the stiff sinews, blocked nerves and filth in my flesh and body, I could detect the demons clearly so to say, likewise feeling the chains break when God got involved, praise God for sharp discernment of what is of Him and what is not, praise God for making his children be drawn towards all of Him! In accordance with this word and proverbs 4:20-22, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I therefore bind one to an ultimate and healthy mind-body connection while binding to hell every lack of a healthy and ultimate mind-body connection in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquitances, opponents and the body of Christ, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone lacking an ultimate and healthy mind-body connection, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah, glory to God ❤: "My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh."

I remember ministering to a young mom and telling her “ if all you can do is worship just worship he hears you” and another person said to both of us” be careful because worship is only emotions and emotions turn us away from God” I did not agree at all because as a young mom In the early days of cleaning feeding nurturing changing pampers Among all the other things there are days when all I can do is worship he’s not going to look at my religion or my acts but purely at my heart of worship towards him in the good and bad.

This was an awesome panel of guests today. I had an expectation of marrying a woman out of ministry school that we would do life together and do kingdom business with a kingdom mindset. Yet I have met a woman who has devalued me, been disloyal, dishonest, disrespectful, degrading, denigrating, lying blame-shifting, deflecting, projecting, cheating, accusing, cussing, drinking beer and liquor, controlling manipulative, threatening, smearing my name to my family, not hers all under this Bible. I ask that you pray for me. I didn’t sign up for a performer, an actor, a stage player, a hypocrite basically. I have wasted another 5 years of my life on dating or marrying a woman in church. There are definitely mental health issues low self-esteem, insecurities, and possible childhood trauma. She refuses to go get help. and I refuse to stay where I am not tolerated or appreciated.

Currently reading Genesis more in depth and linking other scriptures. Proverbs 3: 19:20 to understand that wisdom is at the heart of reality and therefore it is in their best interest to align with it. Wisdom was an integral element of the creation of all that is on Day One of human existence. God created science, there is building blocks because of his design. Einstein went looking for God in elements in elements.

Once again, here she is. Dr. Anita. I have watched 2 years of her youtube videos. We have domenion over the plants of the field and the birds of the air. We did not come from the plants of the field. Our hearts does not represent the Garden of Eden. We do, however, have the same creator. Our emotions need healing. Emotions do not proceed feelings. I am glad we are talking about mental health in the church, but lets not let it look like the world. As a therapist, I have seen many women come in that has experenced church issues. We should address those, with the truth of the Gospel and good therapy technique. Not by twisting scripture to fit our views. I am not sure, but I can't say, if Christin Caine read her book. It is full of twisted scriptures. I believe Dr. Phillips is a Christian. I can also say when things need to be called out. She is not speaking the full truth of the Gospel. Not sure how she ended up on this podcast. I was actually shocked.

How do you explain Jesus turning over tables when He got angry? Wasn’t Jesus regulated? He surely seems out of control. Is that the way we should handle our anger? Turning tables or something like that? Is handling our anger the way Jesus did a prescription or a description? How do you know the difference in handling ours?

Righteous anger is quite different than reacting in anger in frustrating situations. We can have righteous anger when justice is not being done. When sin needs to be addressed.
