My daughter, Kassidy, and I love this song. My beautiful Kassidy died on Oct 10, 2021 from Covid pneumonia after she fought courageously for 2 months to stay alive. She was 35 with 2 young children. A BIG piece of my heart died with her that day. This was the first song I played at her funeral. It’s a beautiful song and it captures the love I have for her. I have loved you Kassidy for a thousand years and will love you for a thousand more.

The good ones seem to be taken first...always too soon when you love someone but the death of your child just feels heartbreakingly unfair. I have no words that could ever make that loss less in any way, all I've learned to do is to not ask "why?" and to try to accept what life throws up, not resist it in relation to the events I have no control over. You will always have your special relationship with your son, nothing will ever change that ❤

My soulmate and life partner passed 8/24. He was, and is, the "love of my life. My past and future will always be touched by his memory. "1000 years" loved before and after...!! ❤❤❤RIP, Shahid, in HEAVEN with GOD. I will see you again one day....

And 46 years later, we are still married with 4 beautiful daughters and 6 grandchildren! I cannot watch this video without shedding true tears of joy! To God be the glory!

It's been 2020 for the past 5 years, so yeah.

My mom died when I was 11. I always listen to this song when I miss her. I feel like it really just expresses how I feel for her. My Nana "her mom" is still recovering. Your never supposed to lose your child. To any of u out there who has lost your child just know it will be okay. If you want to know what happend and how she passed read more. She was in a motorcycle wreck. She was on the back of her/boyfriends motorcycle. She was riding with two other people. Her dad on his motorcycle and a friend on his motorcycle. Her dad's motorcycle malfunctioned and he couldn't stop. The motorcycle she was riding on flipped over and she fell off. Her friend on his motorcycle ran over her head. She had a broken jaw. Her skull was cracked open. She was in a coma for 7 months. Her brain was messed up. The doctors said that she probably wouldn't wake up. They said if she did that she wouldn't be able to do anything on her own. She would have been paralyzed. They gave her medicine to try and help her wake up and it helped a little. She started moving her eyelids. She then just stopped. Then passed.

My mom suddenly passed away last year, and since then life doesn't make sense for me anymore. I'm still devastated and can't wait to find her again soon. This song reminds me of her and touches me deeply as my heart is pressed and wrapped so hard as by the kisses and lovely words that I used to give her, and I'll never be able to do it anymore. This song is beautiful and crushes me.

She is 15 years younger and many did not or do not agree with me moving on. But this song mean so much to me as the first time I met her she stood alone outside her work and I told her I was going to stop and say hello. She has such a unique voice that's so soft and you know it's her immediately. Not to mention she's so beautiful.

I met my husband almost 30 years ago. For me, it was love at first sight. We were both young and life took us in different directions. Both with 2 divorces, we finally reconnected in 2015 and now happily married. This song reminds me of us, and how every step in life we've taken, has brought us back together again.

After getting divorced, it sucked for a while but then I found the best girl. We had 2.5 years together before she was diagnosed with kidney cancer that she battled for nearly another three years. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 45 with two kids...this song always gets to me. Hold on to what's important because it can be taken in an instant.

My theory is that popular music in the last 15-20 years is so bad, (yes, there are a few exceptions) and listening to it dulls the sensibilities of those who grew up with it.

As soon as I played the video and heard her voice, several memories of mine came to my mind. And those memories were memories of when I went through hard enough even to attempt suicide. I've loved the Twilight series since I was little, and I really liked this song, which is the background music for the movie, to the point of listening to it thousands of times. When my head was filled with all kinds of negative words and thoughts, and I couldn't do anything, I just moved my finger and played this song. I don't know exactly why I played this song, but I think that something inside of me used this song as a shield to block thoughts of wanting to die. And when I listened to the song, I just shed tears like a baby. After crying heartily, I was able to feel my heart calm down, as if all the tightness and negative things in my heart had been washed away. And this made me feel that this song is a great healer than any medicine for me, and I feel really grateful for this. 🙏

Every time I listen to this song I recall losing my dear friend Alicia Geiger from Mena, Arkansas about 21 years ago. She was only 20 at the time… she would have been in her 40’s if she had lived on. I would travel 1000’s of miles just to see her again…

With this softly playing in the background I held the hand of my forever love, my husband of 31 years as he took his final breath. Walking him home on that final 26 hour journey home was such a sacred gift. Thank you for saying the things I could not

I have played this video for more number of times as I can remmember, and it is only now that I paid attention to the comments which made my heart melt and my tears flowed. We had this song during my wedding march, and now our family is going through difficult times, it made me appreciate more what I have right now and to stop complaining what I do not have. God bless us all and let us continue fighting. And to Ms. Christina Perri and Mr. David Hodges who composed and made the song come to life, may you continue to inspire people to love.

When you listen the song and pay attention the lyrics this song is timeless .And nobody can sing exactly the original singer and her voice is perfect for the song.
