She so is …..but finding her new product in the uk countryside a little cold as we don’t get much warm days here .

this feels so nostalgic..
I remember this specific episode and I went out looking for rose paintings and everything with roses in. The paintings are beautiful.

I used to watch this when I was 10 years old in my parent's loving room on HGTV. I guess this is where I got my aesthetic tastes since I was introduced to this in my formative years. To think this kind of style is 'in' nowadays.
I fell in love with Shabby Chic when Rachel Ray introduced it to America. I had always loved roses because they are so beautiful and they make me think of precious memories with my Mormor (maternal grandmother in Danish). Recently I redecorated my bedroom and went on Utube and Pinterest for inspiration. I swear the first thing that came to mind was “Oh hell no!!” It looked like everything that had roses on it, everything they could find with lace etc. etc. threw up in their homes. First off I bought a dresser and a lingerie dressers second hand. Then I brought everything that I owned with roses on it, my silver toned and ivory porcelain, artwork and textiles with lace, embroidery or roses and brought it in my bedroom and used what I loved for my version of Shabby Chic which is much more minimal. I’m disabled and I spend 90% of my time in my bedroom and now I couldn’t feel more relaxed. I’m so glad I found this Chanel because now I can go back to the basics.💕💕👍🏻

I agree about the color of roses long ago being white and pale pink...I think it was that era and victorian that grew those colors and we bring it back to this era..I love the Victorian era
