I get plastic surgery procedures because I feel better about myself. However, I want to be the best version of myself that I can be. And at 52 I've been feeling my age, but seeing Christie Brinkley and other mature women being more visible gives me hope.

I find it interesting that people who can afford taking care of themselves ( time and money ) want to teach others how to look as good as them. I'm a privileged woman and I don't think I would look as good as I do if I had lived a life of stress for example. Stress ages you. Worrying about paying your bills ages you. Lack of sleep ages you. No Christie you are not aging at your own pace. You color your hair for example. I have so much compassion for people who struggle in life.

You can't really "teach" someone to look good if they can't afford a great surgeon. Most of us didn't start out looking as good as Christy either lol. Stress does age you. The sun ages you too, ironically the beach is my happy place but will still give me wrinkles with sunblock. I hope you use your privilege to make this a better world in some way. I think the greatest privilege is to be able to change lives for the better.

I'm getting 'blonder' every year and, yes, I call it aging at my own pace. LOL! I do what I can, but can't afford expensive treatments. If I won the lottery, I'd prolly get a facelift. I work hard at exercise and eating healthy, so why not go 'all in'? Nothing wrong with that, IMO.

The brand used on her may not be _"Botox"_ but she still gets injectables _(Dysport, Myobloc, Xeomin,_ etc.) -she can hardly move her face. *I do love that she eats a healthy nutritious diet, stays away from drugs, smoking & excessive alcohol, and does exercise.*

What J Gibson says is true. Face lifts can't make you beautiful if you've never been beautiful. It can only make you look younger. And depending on your bone structure, it can look great or not as great post-procedure. People with great bone structure also age better. That's not to say some people don't also get other procedures that make them look different, such as a rhinoplasty or fascial implants. But money can't solve all your facial shortcomings.

She looks great but Christie started out a “10”. She’s had some tweaks, fillers, a lift here and there and she colors her grey hair. She also eats healthy and gets enough exercise. I simply cannot believe that Christie is pushing 70, she’s simply gorgeous.

I think the most beautiful thing she has....is her smile...... happiness... and that make her very beautiful and young more than her cosmetic procedures!! Brava Christie!!!!

Christie Brinkley is so beautiful inside and out. She has a heart of gold and a positive attitude that shines out from her pretty blue eyes in such a loving way!

Jane Fonda has had hip, knee replacement, (and lots more) and has spoken very openly about it for years.

OMG, don't you remember when she was asked on Meghan Kelly's show about plastic surgery?! She was not happy at all that Meghan even brought it up. I don't blame her though. I think the question came out of left field as I recall but it's not nice to put someone on the spot. And whether or not Ms Fonda had surgery is no one's business unless she wants to offer up the information.

nothing like having a plastic surgeon, nutritionist , dermatologist, and personal trainer on speed dial and the money to pay them . We all could not look our age if that were the case .

Her life, her money & her choices ... just that ...

If you look at women like Jamie Lee Curtis, Paulina porizkova, and a small handful of others who haven't resorted to plastics, you understand what aging gracefully is. It's not about trying to fight nature, but embracing it with acceptance and integrity.

I think it depends on the woman whether she's aging "gracefully or not. Some women look terrible as they age (for whatever reason) and would look so much better if they made a few aesthetic changes. Other women look good without doing anything.

I don't know what's going on. But since I've turned 50, all these older women in their 70's are sexy as fuck. I thank the Lord that women are growing beautiful in proportion to their age. What she said about trying her best not to compliment her girls on their looks while they were growing up was spot on! Compliment them on their achievements, and on qualities like their kindness always, never on how they look. That right there was everything. If we could all to that, that right there would build much healthier, confident, and emotionally sufficient women in the future.

Love christie but Fillers are trouble and she’s had her problems. She should share the troubles she’s had. People that don’t have money to fix the mistakes have to live with them. Aging isn’t a defect it just is. I think it’s great to try to defy but she really isn’t different than Chloe k. Once you start this journey it’s expensive and fraught w mishaps Love yourself do good deeds and smile more like she does. I believe in metaphysics you can talk to your cells and ask them to regenerate. Look for the power inside it’s cheaper and empowering. I am eating organic plant based diet to nourish my body and meditate daily sending love to the world.I started down that road and it took up too much of my time and energy. @@crh251 But you can add fat back into your face and the backs of your hands with cream and this does make a difference. We also need to mitigate bone loss a lot of dropping in the face is our bones shrinking. I left a list of my anti-aging regimen above. All of it is noninvasive and inexpensive.

A face filler will take care of those lines on your face, so just tell us the truth already !! She doesn't let her age have any influence on her, whatsoever ??? yet, she posts on her birthday and tells us that she is 17 years past 50. So she doesn't think that this will get reactions, comments, attention, which will influence her ?? The post was based solely on her age. So I call bullsh*t. Now she is telling us the age that she signed a new contract, but yet age is not an influence ?? Why not just say: Hey, I am old, I am elderly, and look what I am still doing. Yes, I have face-filler, I have obviously had a face lift and I'm okay with that, and I'm going to try to sell you my face creams and my wands that I will now claim keep my face looking like this. I'm 11 days into my hip replacement and its been a breez:) I went home the next day. I choose to go with a "spinal block" and sleeping medicine for surgery. no tube down the throat,no headaches,vomiting ,grogginess,or pain unless I didnt take my meds. on time. connie Murphy DR. SCOTT BALL specialest in encinitas calif and la Jolla hospital . PS and he can fix anyones uneven hip operation :)

I am all about aging gracefully not trying to look like I am 20 again. I love how Christy Brinkley is open to aging, showing she is not perfect, none of us are. She is right about our generation and 50s now is not the way it use to be. Yes, she probably has the best of everything. When you research on healing your mind, body, and spirit, you start healing on the inside, this does take care of your stress and anxiety. Stress and anxiety do cause diseases (unease). Reversing the aging on your external being, you can do it. Exercising not just the body, mind, and spirit, but the facial muscles too. Yoga is awesome to strengthen and make your body flexible plus helps center your being, it is amazing for stress. When you are stress your body tenses up, your breathing is irregular. Yoga helps you focus on your breathing and on your body. Yoga is so good for your mind, body, and soul. There are so many tricks out there to use for wrinkles, you don't need botox or plastic surgery. Check out surgical tape, amazing how it helps with wrinkles!! Just saying, don't throw in the towel just bc of the number of your age. There are answers out there, the internet is one of the sources of healing knowledge for internally and externally.

Are there men being interviewed as they age on their own terms? Or are we going to continue explaining the inevitable? you NEVER see men talking about why they look so good after a certain age. When does it end? When women stop .

Having said that --- I would like to add that she is gorgeous and full of life and seems to be a wonderful person. She always has been that way (at least publicly). I believe "youth" is attitude and joy of life and she has both. We've all met old young people and a LOT of young "old" people. The money however, buys time to exercise and eat healthy - she's got that in abundance as well! LOL.

I work in a hospital and I see that as well. But one doesn't need to have money to look one's best. I'm not rich in any way but I eat right, exercise, and take very good care of my skin. I also love wearing makeup and having my hair done. It's ok to accept oneself but neglect oneself is just sad to me.

Christie is 67, and has been a true survivor in many ways. It shocks me how little those who have replied know about her life and pain. Sure some of it was because of bad decisions she made when young, but who hasn’t. Live and learn ...some of us seem to have more trouble than others spotting the liars. To compare Christie with a celebrity...is bad form.

It’s her business and all power to her for pursuing her looks and health but it makes me wonder how many minutes she takes staring in her mirror, looking for lines and wrinkles. Her veneered tombstone smile probably looks better than my natural 67 year old maintained teeth, but they still look unnatural. No shade at Christie. Her work has always been about her looks so I guess all this “work” is comparable to other occupations doing courses to stay current. Obviously she’s promoting some beauty product line so she needs to be able to sell the product. Go girl, do whatever you choose and can afford to do as I do too.

Before they were hooded and very strikingly unique. I think she is too obsessed with her appearance but yet she never told her daughters they were pretty.

Thank you! Same age as Christy needed to hear this today as I discovered last month I need a complete hip replacement due to osteoarthritis. Really appreciate her coming forth and sharing her journey.

She is gorgeous, however, that type of super youthful beauty is a large privilege. Most people can not afford so many treatments, personal chefs, personal trainers, all the beauty procedures and surgeries... I can barely but barely afford a little bit of filler once a year. And it doesn't even look good.

@@biljam972 Also, I have one of those inversion tables. I recently started doing a certain kind of neck pull up thing to target loose skin under neck. It's actually worked to reduce neck laxity by at least 50 per cent and I've only been doing it for about a month. Retin A is key. Of course an awesome sunblock.

@@cristinadriviera8144 Retinol definitely!! My mum had acne when she was young, she was prescribed Tretinoin (a version of retinol). She kept using till today, her skin is flawless. And she also uses sunscreen at home or pull the drapes, bcz UVA is always present in natural light. UVB which is in direct sunlight, just causes pigmentation. But UVA is the biggest culprit that harms skin even at home.

A woman once told me that if you set your mind to it you can do anything. Instead of judging Christy for spending the money she has (like we ALL would) think about what your biggest ambitions are and do everything possible to make it happen. She's investing in her career. That's literally her job.

Says age has no affect on her. Gets a ton of plastic surgery...

She has a better body then her 20 something daughters! Amazing

People here are talking about all the work she's had done, so they say of course she looks good. I know people who have had work done who just look scary, so "work done" is no guarantee of looking good.

Still beautiful. She worked hard to be a super model. Sounds like she is taking care of herself and that she loves her kids and is grateful for her life and well-being. I find her to be inspiring and a nice person on top of everything else.

Not having to scrub your house daily , work , groceries, taking care of kids , doing laundry , being taxi for your kids worrying about bills etc , all takes it toll .

Whatever she has done she is gorgeous. I know her hair is extensions because she used to show her hair pieces on HSN. She seems to be a lovely woman inside and out and any negative talk most likely is jealousy. We all wish we could look that good. You go girl.

Its all down to cosmetic surgery we could all look like that. Why do they treat us like we are stupid 🙄

I have always adored Christie. Now, her appearance is her job and she has had the advantage and wealth to afford trainers, the best food, doctors (for non-surgical procedures), etc. BUT....good for her. She has always worked out and led a very healthy lifestyle. But, not everybody can age at their own pace like she does but she absolutely gives great tips on beauty, nutrition, etc. She has the most vivacious personality and smile. I just love that she takes such joy in life and kids. I love when she came out with her own wig/hair extension, etc. line and told women that it is OKAY to wear a little "extra hair" for thinning hair. Like I said....I adore her.

I had total hip replacement 11 days ago and I'm doing great :) i'm 74 connie murphy

I’m a ballet trained Pilates instructor in New York. Our studio works with many hip replacement patients on rehab after surgery - it’s a wonderful thing to see them looking younger, pain free and moving well! Best wishes to you - keep moving - smile!

I’ve really struggled with the ageing process but I’ve made my peace with it now. I sometimes look at some of the ageing on my face and actually think it’s quite beautiful as it shows my life yet there’s this voice that tells me I mustn’t find it beautiful because it’s not meant to be beautiful. I think that’s conditioning. I’ve decided I’ll do the odd tweak if it makes me feel better but I actually want to look my age and look like my friends. I don’t feel the need to have that separation now between my face and my actual age. I am in no way judging anyone who does anything as we all should do what we want to. I do think Christie looks incredible.

She has really good genes. Of course, having funds to do some tweaking doesn’t hurt.

she is stunning and very cool . eat well , exercise n a little help if you chose it. christie looks amazing .

Christie Brinkley is a poster girl for extreme capitalism who have found there's a lot of money to be made with older women wanting to look 20 years younger. Christie is a super model with great genes, has spent tons on plastic surgery, facial treatments and has a personal trainer on call. Capitalism wants you to think that you too can look like her at 70 if you consume X and Y products. Ladies: lets not fool ourselves.

There's a lot u can do for not much money. I learned from the pro's...on You Tube. i follow Chris Gibson (he's 57!) and Christine Byer (she's 50 something)( both estheticians), Dr Dray ( dermatologist, and several others who've managed to wind back the clock. I started out on 'The Ordinary' hyaluronic acid plus same brand glycolic acid... total of $13 When I need another jar of moisturizer, I'll get Hydroboost for day ($26) and Olay Retinol 24 for night. I've already seen a huge difference in my skin. Oh, for cleanser, I use a Cetaphil knockoff ($1.99). I'm about to go 'uptown girl' and get Coxir EGF serum (growth factor ( $22). For spa level treatment, u can get a Dermawand for around $100. For 'over the top' treatment, there's 'The Curve'...a 4 in 1 skincare device. U can order it off Christine Byer's video "New Curve Before and After" $360. U prolly cdn't get 2 salon visits for that price.

At 4:14, Christie responds to the interviewer’s VERY LEGIT question asking about people writing off her youthful looks to having access to the best skincare products and cosmetic procedures available. She responds by saying that “today we can choose how we want to age” and we can “pick and choose” from an array of treatments. SHE HAS $80 MILLION. Of COURSE she can choose from this smorgasbord of options. Regular folks can’t! She didn’t address the question at all. She just underscored it. No, Christie. WE can’t all pick and choose from all these anti-aging treatments. Very WEALTHY folks like you and your celebrity friends can. Big difference. Good for her, I have nothing against her doing what she wants to maintain her youthful looks. But don’t insult our intelligence.

She looks great. She also has excellent plastic surgeons. More power to her. I’d do the same.

Whether she had surgery or whatever, I’ve always thought she’s gorgeous. Her beautiful smile she’s always had.

Yeah, she seems to be a light spirit.

She can obviously afford to do things many of us can't. But all that aside, she's still an inspiration -- and it's nice to know we don't have to look like worn out hags and give up just because we've reached a certain age. I'm a firm believer that exercise is one of those Holy Grail components required to looking younger, and she's definitely a great example of that.

She is lovely, HOWEVER she has had facelifts. Etc. I am 52 and look 40, no surgery, creams, etc.

Money affords u the luxury of looking young and beautiful longer....and I'm sure she received tip top care with her hip surgery along w/a top medical team, time to heal without any worries, people to care for her and her hm....ahhhhh, to be rich and growing old...

What makes Christie Brinkley such a beautiful woman is her inner beauty and her absolute kindness and humanity. She is so genuine and down to earth and not artificial. To me, she is the most beautiful lady I ever laid my eyes on and I've seen many beautiful ladies throughout my life. God bless Christie!!

Why are we looking to an extremely wealthy woman who can afford expensive cosmetic procedures for advice on how to age? Of course she still looks good, she has the money to look good. This isn't helpful to average people. It's almost like you're taunting us. Very few of us will look like that at her age because most of us can't afford to. SHE chooses how to age. The rest of us don't necessarily get to choose. A lot of us don't even have basic healthcare, let alone the money to make cosmetic changes. We actually have to learn to accept the aging process, which is a lot more challenging. This isn't an age issue, it is a class issue, and it's coming across as tone-deaf.

We must remember that Christie and other woman doing work in FRONT of the camera are the only ones that put thought into how aging looks. Being in front of the camera is a career choice that pays their bills. Those of us in society that works behind the camera doesn't care so much about botox and masking the aging process.

I agree. She has invested her money and time into her looks, because that is how she makes her living. Good for her. While she is rubbing some wand on her jowls, we are out here killing it

I want to know who does her “ tweaking”. She still has a fabulous bod at 78! I remember well before her cosmetic procedural interventions a cover she did for a magazine and it said: “ this woman is 50!” And she actually did look exceptional for her age. When you’re in the limelight and are known for your beauty there’s an added expectation not to disappoint your fans. There’s pressure to keep up your appearance when famous.

Age is a reality for everyone, including our beloved pets. You don’t stay young and live forever. Incredible Christie keeps it fresh tho🌷
