Actually, his books are hard to read. The language changes. Nevertheless, he lived in times very very similar to ours, weak ummah, lots of sects coming to the surface, Christine Occupation, preaching Christianity, Mongols destructions, Mongol leaders pretending to be Muslims but ruling by laws they made up. That's why reading his work is like reading from someone living with us.

Ibn Tamiyya was absolutely ignorant of christian doctrine. And also, all I see is an accusation of innovation, while he is clearly innovating interpretations about the bible. Like his interpretation about “baptise in the name of The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. As if that is not innovated😂. Such a hypocrite. He also says things like “Who was in charge of the heavens when Christ died” as accusation. As if christians believed the eternal divine nature died😂😂

@@mbarnabeus It is official doctrine that the divine eternal never parished or damaged. It’s language bro. Jesus is a divine person, cause he has a divine nature (with his human nature)But those two nature’s DO NOT mix. So the eternal divine nature didn’t became truly flesh or anything like that. Muslims interpreting it that way is just pathetic. He took on flesh. Athanasius in “On the incarnation” said it properly: God the Son wielded the flesh

Surah Fussilat 41 : 37 prohibiting muslim to worship sky objects (sun, moon, stars) is recited by Muhammad (because he's illiterate) 3-5 years (AD 613-615) after he proclaimed as a prophet of allah in AD 610. He copied the Jews' Tanak (Bible: the Old Testament) Exodus 20 : 4, Deuteronomy 4 : 19 & 17 : 3 that Yahweh, the God of Israel that's worshiped by Abraham, Ishaq & Yakub, forbids the Israelites to worship sky objects but Q 6 : 77 muslims used to worship the moon goddess 🌙 & Q 53 : 49 Sirius the brightest star used to be Allah. William Tisdall says in his book "The Original Sources of the Qur'an - Its Origin In Pagan Legends and Mythology" during that time Muhammad followed some of Jewish's, Christian's & the Sabian belief and practices. At that time he was still befriended wth them. He had access to Jewish's, Christian's & the Sabians (ancient people of Mesopotamia (nowadays Iraq until southern Syria) scriptures. When they rejected him he turned against them. Muhammad quarrelled with the Jews in AD 624 in Medina. Muhammad chased, killed & expelled them out of the Arabian Peninsula.... W. Tidall, p. 39. In the same page says in the same year Muhammad performed his 1st 'Idu'l Adha. While the Jews slaughtered lambs Muhammad slaughtered 2 kids. One for his people & one for himself. Book of Dr. Daniel Alan Brubaker "Corrections in Early Qur'an Manuscripts". Dr. Dan says, "There are thousands seemingly endless deletions & insertions in the early quranic manuscripts (7th century)". Quran is just a man made book. Western & European historians are free from religious oppression, intimidation & collusion. Not like their fellow muslim historians in their muslim countries. Eventhough they don't live in muslim countries but they're still bound with their religion. By making a report which is contrary to the quran & islamic rules and agreements the muslim historian could still face death threat, eg. Salman Rushdie. Salman actually didn't make any report which is contrary with the quran. It's already there ! Q 22 : 52 (read the interpretation of the verse by Ibn Kathir, 1999 printing, vol 5, p. 441).

The turning point is in AD 624. It's explained near the end of this reply. You shouldn't rely on the quranic verses only but you've to know the time & history of Muhammad. You should know the reason(s) why this/ that verses were written & when. Read book of William St. Tisdall. I've got one. Google who's he & his achievements. Western/ European historian can investigate any historical event free of religious oppression. The reports will be published & debated in the public. If the author is lying/ making up a story he/ she could be persecuted by the government for making false statements in attempt to gain personal's interest (eg. money by selling his/ her books or famous name but by deceiving people). You can't do it the the democratic Western & European countries but you can do it muslim countries after collaborating with their imams. May Allah have mercy on him and forgive him. People who bad mouth him don’t have the mental and spiritual capability to go through his texts and books and they talk without knowledge. Muhammad ibn Muflih al-Maqdisi (708 AH - 763 AH) his book al-Furoo’ is one of the books approved by the jurists of the Hanbali school of thought, and he has other books. 7. Ahmad ibn al-Hasan, known as Ibn Qadi al-Jabal (693 AH - 771 AH), authored a number of works on jurisprudence and its origins, and was a brilliant debater. Jon Hoover is wrong. Ibn Taymiyya did believe the Bible is corrupted. Here’s what Ibn Taymiyya actually said: “The majority of Muslims deny both [the proposition] that none of the wording found in the previous sacred books of Christians and Jews has ever undergone textual substitution and that all of its wording was handed down from God. They hold either that tabdil has occurred in some of its formulations, or that it cannot be said with certainty that its expressions were revealed by God. It is not possible to make an argument of the expressions in these books in opposition to what has been already established. Muslims claim that the Torah and the Gospel which the People of the Book today possess are not the products of successive transmission from Moses and Jesus [lam tatawatar 'an Musa wa-'Isa]. The chain of transmission of the Torah was broken first at the time of the destruction of Jerusalem and the expulsion of the Israelites from the city. They state that the one who dictated the Torah to them at a later date was a certain person called Ezra, whom they claim to be a prophet. Some people say that he was not a prophet, but that he only discovered a copy which they found to be ancient. It is also said that he produced a text which had been in the Maghrib. None of this necessitates the successive transmission of every expression nor prevents the occurrence of error in some cases. A similar situation occurs with those books whose copying and collation follows closely upon them, but which are memorized by only a few, perhaps two or three persons. Christians admit that the Gospel which they possess was not written down by Christ nor dictated by him to those who wrote it down. Matthew and John, companions of Christ, dictated it only after the ascension of Christ; moreover, it had not been memorized by the great number of people necessary according to the principles of successive transmission. Neither Mark nor Luke ever saw Christ. All these men stated that they mentioned some of what Christ said and some of his messages, and that they did not have room to mention other words and deeds.” A MUSLIM THEOLOGIAN'S RESPONSE TO CHRISTIANITY p.g 215-216

Yes barakallahufeekum for your wording. He's an orientalist. What I noticed with them: they have an opinion and are looking for something from that which they could use for it. E.g. also that with hell and ibn taymiyyah (Ra) .. that he believed in their finitude. ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said (Majmoo al-Fataawaa 18/37): This narration with this wording is not from the speech of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), but it is from the speech of some of the Scholars. The Salaf of the Ummah, its leading Imaams and all of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah are united that from the created things are those that will never disappear and will never expire completely such as Paradise and Hellfire, the Throne and other than that. And no one spoke of the expiration of all of the created things except a faction from the innovating people of kalaam, such as al-Jahm bin Safwaan and whoever agreed with hiim from the Mu'tazilah and their likes. This is a futile saying which opposes the Book of Allaah, the Sunnah of His Messenger and the consensus of the Ummah and its leading Imaams. www.ibntaymiyyah.com/search.cfm?q=Hell&x=12&y=3 Wa Allahu A3lam

I assure you he is one of the most important Imams in the Hanbali mathab and all our asaaneed (chains of transmission) go through him. He is often taken out of context. Those things he related according to his ijtihad in matters of aqeeda that are aberrant are accepted as such and a result of his use of kalam which is prohibited in the Hanbali aqeeda. The fact he was buried in the Sufi graveyard is understood that whatever aberrant positions he may have ACTUALLY held, he repented from, and Allah knows best.

You mentioned this aya, Surah Yunus, Verse 94: But if you are in doubt as to what We have revealed to you, ask those who read the Book before you; certainly the truth has come to you from your Lord, therefore you should not be of the disputers. (English - Shakir) As it is widely known that " ask those who read the book before you " refers to the "people of the book" a term which means Jews & Christians. Now, does Allah ask Muhammad to get guidance from people who follow a corrupted & innovated religion? Please explain, thank you.

According to Al-Tabari when he discussed this verse in his book of Al-Tafseer, the verse meant only for Prophet Muhammad to ensure himself as a prophet. This verse not meant to refer the Jews and Christians for everything regarding the religion. Al-Tabari mentioned that if Prophet Muhammad has doubt about who he is (as a prophet), he may ask the people of the books (Jews and Christians) which they knew about him due to the bible and Taurat mentioned about a prophet will be sent after 'Isa (Jesus).

It makes no sense to take 2' sources as reliable, especially when it contradicts what the actual scholar said. Ibn Taymiyya said very clearly that the gospels are not the same as the Injeel that was revealed to Jesus (pbuh). Paul, how do you square away & reconcile your claim & the claim of ibn taymia that Christianity is an innovated religion, which means it was corrupted by Jesus' followers, with this aya: Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 55: And when Allah said: O Isa, I am going to terminate the period of your stay (on earth) and cause you to ascend unto Me and purify you of those who disbelieve and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve to the day of resurrection; then to Me shall be your return, so l will decide between you concerning that in which you differed. (English - Shakir) Here in this aya Allah promises that he will "purify you (speaking to Isa) of those who disbelieve and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve to the day of resurrection;" So, how did this promise of Allah turn upside down & the followers of Isa became disbelievers (innovators) before the day of the resurrection? Why didn't Allah purify Isa from those innovators as he promised? Or, the claim of innovation is an innovation itself? Can you please explain? thank you

I guess qutuz did not keep he's promise but he should not have gotten killed especially after that great win. Mamluks literally saved the known world. Mongols were sacking everything n jersalem was next.

@@asmrnaturecat984 I think before the battle baibars got promised something. I guess I expected baibars to have the character of salahuddin , I guess baibars justified qutuz breaking he's oath a heresy. Baibars is still one of my favorite hero's because he was the main factor in the unbelievable wins because Allah made n guided him. Muslims need to show more love to him, because what the mongols did to Baghdad would of happened everywhere, those crusaders sided with the mongols but the Muslims still won. History shows Allah is with us n Inshallah the caliphate will be re established.

*I am not sure about the word "controversial"? Why is that exactly?* *Was that because he exposed Greek influenced schools? Was that because he exposed sufi heretics? Was that because he was calling for reviving the understanding of the first generation in this Ummah? He was clear and provided his arguments with strong evidences.*
