Thanks for this video, Haley! I’d be really interested in a Christian testimony vlog discussing how you initially came to Christ, any doubts you may have developed, and how your faith has evolved over the years if you feel comfortable sharing. :)

“Hearing God” looks like a great book! Being conversational with God is so important. I’ve just recently gotten used to being in constant, comfortable, intimate conversation with the Lord - and it’s amazing! It’s vitally important to being close with God. I’m sure “Hearing God” is a great read for anyone who hasn’t gotten into this.

I also grew up in a church where people didn’t “hear from God” and all that jazz. But let me tell you! When you build a relationship with Him and hear and know His voice, it is a complete game changer! I’m so excited you’re getting into that and would love to hear updates on how it’s all going for you!

Absolutely love this list!!! Love C.S. Lewis, a lot of those are on my TBR list too! Just added some new ones from your video to my list. To make a recommendation of my own, I highly recommend the book "The Reason" by Lacey Sturm, who's a Christian rock singer. She talks about her rough past and her journey going from being an atheist and also going though deep depression and almost committing suicide to finding God. I really recommend anything from her. She also wrote "The Mystery" about finding true love in this broken world, and "The Return" about how to love God back with your life. All amazing books that have changed my perspective on life.

I read C.S. Lewis's "Mere Christianity" for school and it's seriously my 2nd favorite book it explained things I already knew but with analogies and in a way that was easy to understand yet still slightly academic if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm not good at putting things into words so it really helped me to be able to express these things I believed in a clear way :D Also, my 1st favorite is the Bible but you could probably guess that lol

Hudson Taylor Gods venture is an amazing book about Gods loving plan for your life. Hudson was a missionary to china and right before he went to china he got a crazy sickness and was about to die. He was completely paralyzed and 2 days later he was completely better. And there is so many more crazy stories in his life. One thing In the book that it said was that “if God planned for me to go to china, i surly won’t die now. And if I do die now it must be God’s plan, so I better not be afraid. Also another wonderful one is women who risk , secret agents for Jesus in the Muslim world by Tom and Joann Doyle. Love your videos and your husband’s. It hard to choose which one to watch first because you post at the same time. 😊
