Christ Receiveth Sinful Men- Congregational Singing

Музыка

"Christ Receiveth Sinful Men" sung by Cleveland Baptist Church, Sunday morning, October 7th, 2007. See words below.
Sinners Jesus will receive
Sound this word of grace to all
Who the heavenly pathway leave
All who linger all who fall
Chorus:
Sing it o'er and o'er again
Christ receiveth sinful men
Make the message clear and plain
Christ receiveth sinful men
Come and He will give you rest
Trust Him for His Word is plain
He will take the sinfulest
Christ receiveth sinful men
Now my heart condemns me not
Pure before the law I stand
He who cleansed me from all spot
Satisfied its last demand
Christ receiveth sinful men
Even me with all my sin
Purged from every spot and stain
Heaven with Him I enter in

We sang this melody last night at my church but with different words, which I don't recall. Thank you for letting me enjoy hearing the real words that mean so much.

I am listening to this song in memory of the late, once song leader/choir director, Vera Andrews, of First Baptist Church, Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Wonderful rendition of the song! It was in my hymnal devotion today I'm so glad I found it to hear the tune as it should be sung I like how you save the last verse for after the greeting of one another. Thank God for His wonderful grace that He receives a sinner like me!

Yes, I have several videos from 2007 and 2008 that are like this. For some reason, when I ripped them off the DVDs they were on, they came out like this; by 2009, the problem (whatever it was) was solved. I had debated whether or not to upload them to KZread with the skipping, but in the end I chose to do so, hoping that the blessings of the songs would outweigh the annoyance of the skipping, and I believe it has, for the most part, judging by all the likes and positive comments that I've received in spite of it.
