So I just had a discussion with ai right and what I'm getting is 1×1=1 is suppose to represent one one time not that it's suppose to multiply and then 2×1 is 2 one time this is where things get confusing because language gets in the way of how you interpret the equation so instead of saying one times one is one it should be one one time

    His math formula in the end was incorrect. He said the formula was: (x)^3 = 2(x) {which is x + x} The correct formula is: (square root of x)^3 = (square root of x) times x Therefore if x=9 (3)^3 = (3) x 9 27 = 27 Or if x=4 (2)^3 = (2) x 4 8 = 8 Or if x = 16 (4)^3 = (4) x 16 64 = 64 And you can keep going switching out the value of "x" to represent any number. ❤

1x1 means you have a value of 1 only one time. So if you have 1 once you got only one. 1x1=1. Thats why 2x1=2 because you have one value of 2. I always look at it like the first number is the value and the second number is how many times you have that value. 8x2=16 because you have the value of 8 two times.

For any two positive real numbers (a,n) the equation can be formalized as (√a)^n=a^(n/2). Otherwise I hope we can see him on more podcast here soon. His premise is off . The square root of a number is the number when multiplied by itself produces the number. The Square root of 9 is 3 because 3x3 =9. He had them get the square root of two but multiply it by 2, thats wrong , it should be multiplied by itself , 1.414(roughly) x1.414 ( roughly) . The 2nd premise is the idea of an action x an action equaling a reaction. Thats not exactly correct. There is only one action which is the multiplication. You have a multiplier and a multiplicand. You put one dime on the table one time you have one dime. You do that twice its two. Numbers never lie, which is how he knew exactly whatvthe answers would be.

Oof. The amount of comments revering Terrance as an actual scientific genius is disconcerting. It’s one thing to think outside of the box, it’s a whole other thing to pretend you’ve discovered something that you can’t even correctly prove and sprinkle it with pseudoscientific nonsense to try to pass it off as fact. This man is no scientist or mathematician. His grasp of both is tenuous at best. But the fact he has convinced so many people he’s a scientific genius, might just be proving his actual genius as an actor.

What’s even scarier is they brought him in to speak at Oxford haha. I watched his “lecture” and he basically has this whole thing down like a script. I’m leaning more towards conman. He’s trying to convince people he’s Good Will Hunting or something haha. Although he did also compare himself as “Jesus walking on water for tips” in regards to his acting career…so you might be onto something with the mental part of it…that was a pretty heavy dose of narcissism. But that’s on par for most good actors.

Multiplication doesn’t mean to “make bigger” in the math world. That’s why you can multiply by .5 to get a smaller number or multiply by a negative number in the math world. Math is not a logic system constrained by the real world… basic arithmetic will take you really far

@@CoolCat123450You don't have to insult people. Basic arithmetic was decades ago for me and the real world didn't require anything that would keep that from being forgotten so it's not like it's a no brainer. They used to teach basic manners and politeness in school too, but I guess we only went to school to throw our intellectual weight around on the internet, yeah?

@@cz5836 I apologize for my last sentence. For research mathematicians, the rabbit hole to understanding multiplication and addition is so deep in abstract algebra, that they have to make a long proof using the fundamental axioms to construct systems one of which we learn in public school needless to say, in the real world, you will NOT use advance mathematics for the most part. Most people barely had to use negative numbers pre-1700's (because they had subtraction) and even fractions don't come up too often (unless you're talking about money). I do not consider myself an intellectual, I just want everybody to be the best they can be. I also have issues with the education system and I hate how it's taught to the point where one definition overrides everything which inhibits expanding thinking beyond just multiplication of natural numbers.

When you finally found out the origins of the picture you should’ve just thought cool and went home to your huge mansion and enjoyed yourself went and hung out with Iron Man and shit not try to take fox to court 😂 I mean it’s obvious Terrence is a smart guy but I think this shit crazy.

I can explain the math easily! Praise God. --- This is not genius…this is a man more determined to be a trailblazer than he is determined to follow rules of arithmetic. It is utterly impossible for those two numbers to be the same. The reason it appears the same is twofold. 1)The calculator does not show enough digits…and it couldn’t. The answer is an irrational number that repeats forever. 2) Because and the iPhone calculators round to begin with, then he continues using the rounded number, the problems caused by the missing digits are exacerbated. It’s the rounding that makes them look equal, but its happening on a small level. Let me show you an example…. The square root of 4.4 is about 2.09 The square root of 4.5 is about 2.12. If your calculator only goes to one decimal place, both answers will be 2.1 !!! The rounding would make them appear equal. This is what’s happening, except there are way more digits cut off by the calculator here. --- Now the multiplication point is another issue with following rules. Yes, in conversation and in the vast majority of life, to multiply “brings addition” or however he said it, but in math to multiply is more technical… To multiply in math is to take a number x number of times. So 1 x 1 means you take the number 1, 1 time. The value of doing that is 1. It’s like saying. “I’m going to give you 1 dollar, 1 time.” You now have $1 worth of money. It makes absolutely perfect sense. This guy is not a genius. He’s overcomplicating the simple to appear smart. TRUE GENIUS = MAKING THE COMPLICATED SIMPLE

Yeah, this was the wrong platform for Terrance Howard. I'd like to see him on Billy Carson's channel. These brothers (and they admitted it) are operating on a much smaller brain level. But this is why we stay stagnant because ignorance is bliss to some people. It's one thing to not understand where your guest is coming from but to laugh at them is something totally different. You invite someone onto your show and then you mock them, that's what's crazy to me. I'm done with this channel.

without proper wording people think that 1x1=1 is not proper he thinks the math is wrong when it's the wording and what he's doing is taking fiscal objects and say 1$x1$ as1x1 and in the case that you don't know that one is 1 one time it would definitely seem wrong if you write it 1x1=1 without knowing what it means just one instance of 1 that's why you end up with one and another thing he asked is what dose it mean to multiply it means to grow in amount and he's completely right so 1x1=1 is not multiplication or multiplying its being a number on times table not a multiplication table because it's 1 one times
