I totally agree 💯 I've been asked to sing the National Anthem for the past 3 years at my church, but declined. But after listening to the man, I now feel the most comfortable and confident. I must be honest, this has been the best National Anthem I have ever witnessed

I wish KZread had a love button. I agree that much. There are a couple people who used to be in my life decades ago. I don’t want to be back in their life again. That train has passed. But I do wonder what their life is like. I wish them well since I still love and care about them. Just can’t live with them. I’d love to know what they are listening to tonight.

Your literally the only other person that I've seen feel the same way I do....lol...every time I'm talking about Chris with anybody & we're discussing his catalog I always say What are u listening to is one of my top 3 favs & they either haven't ever heard it or don't get what's so special about it....I'm like r u kidding me? Yal needa pay more attention to the story of his lyrics. Idk why but it drives me insane to meet people who say they love songs but can't tell u their interpretation of the song lyrics & they say - I just like the beat, or I just like his/her voice....smdh....I wanna shake em , how the hell can anyone listen to music & not feel & interpret the lyrics in some way shape or form?? I'm such a huge fan of music & songwriters , I always connect to a song based upon how I relate it to my life then I wanna go see if the artist explains the back story to the song & if they didn't write it I look up & become fans of the writer immediately. I've literally found so many great songs I may would have never heard if I didn't do that. Prime example - Up to the Mountian by Patty Griffin....it wasn't until I heard Kelly Clarkson cover it that I found & fell in love with that song & then Patty. Anyway, I'll end my rant....yal be blessed 💛

Imma tell you something right now. I am 63 yrs old. My Dad is 92 and still alive & kickin. I grew up listening to all the old greats like Johnny Cash & George Jones in Dad's car. I know a lady in Florida who actually was great friends with Hank Williams Sr. When I picked my own music & listened to all the Outlaws and the ladies and so much more. I've always said I am BLESSED to have lived on this earth at the same time as Waylon Jennings and to have followed his entire career. Then came Chris Stapleton. He looks young enough to be some guy our daughter would bring home but every time I hear him sing, I CRY because I 1,000 % guarantee you that my Grandchildrens' Grandchildren WILL know who Chris Stapleton was. And I am totally serious.

I've heard many singers at the Super Bowl. I think Chris is the best anthem yet. I appreciate the concert he put together for the people of eastern Kentucky after that horrible flood. I'm used to the flooding of the Cumberland River, the worst that I can remember in 1977. Bell and Harlan counties were hit hard but no deaths.

It never fails to astound how such a talented individual such as Chris Stapleton can also be such a genuinely nice normal person. It makes such a stark contrast to see a musician that’s adored around the world that strives to be a better father and an all round better guy in contrast to some that it just has to be all about themselves and there fragile egos. Long may he continue to be such a beacon of talent

Like Dr Phil always said, The biggest stars I have ever interviewed had the smallest egos. Chris is a prime example of that humility. Dr Phil said Stevie Wonder & his wife walk in the back door bringing us all boxes of donuts. Some of these new "stars" walk in with an entourage of 30 and a long list of every thing they'll be needing in their dressing room. Those people don't last long. We gotta remember that Chris is SO YOUNG to already be A Legend!! It didn't take him 40 yrs of drugs, arrests, whiskey & women to gain his "soul". Chris was BORN a Wise Old Soul.

Speaking of the Super Bowls national anthem, You did a phenomenal heartfelt, rendition that made many cry to be honest. There is no shame for a man or woman to cry when they feel so proud to be an American, where freedom is treasured and honored. We especially needed that, I believe, at a time when the WORLD is getting so close to a crazy threat of mass destruction from a nuclear war. Thank you for signing your heart out for us and making us remember that WE THE PEOPLE are AMERICANS! I have watched that SUPER BOWL performance many times and I have not watched it without tearing up. I hope we see you and hear you at every SUPER BOWL AS A AMERICAN TRADITION!! Love You Man!!

When he asked Chris if he still enjoyed the two hours on stage I was reminded of a friend of mine who is a touring musician. He always says that the show is the fun part. The other 22 hours of the day, the travel, the time away from home and family, the bullshit of the music business, that’s the job. Makes sense to me. I met Chris right before he blew up into a megastar. I’m glad to see he hasn’t seemed to change much. I hope the public lets him stay that way

In addition to being one of the greatest vocalists of all time, Chris should record audio books. Love his speaking voice.

I’ve watched his performance of the National Anthem more times than the ‘half time’ show - and I’m an Aussie. I have no interest in your national athem ( sorry 😬) but this man absolutely perfected that and it just gives me goosebumps every time I hear it and watch it. Un freakin believable. ❤

I would love to know what the types of places are that Chris can go without getting recognized...are those places more like Brentwood, CA? or Jackson, MS?
