If you don’t know who is playing the harmonica, that’s Mickey Raphael, been playing with Willie for Decades. Best in the business. Stapleton is a freak of nature, a once in a lifetime artist.

Just think you are listening to a song writer that has been in industry making hits for years. Thank god he finally decided to sing his songs the way he wrote them.

The Tele does it all, but this and most Stapleton tunes are played on a jazzmaster. You can drive railroad spikes with a Tele and it will still sound great when you pick it up.

Absolution, I got here because of the pull of the strings being played as a sound track for True detective. What a piece, pure liquid gold.

We need more music like this on the radio!!!

Anyone who has had the opportunity to see, listen to or watch play the guitar is witnessing greatness and history being made. you’ll probably be telling your grand children that you got see and hear one of the best singer song writers in all of the history of music. People like Chris Stapleton don’t come along very often. It’s just awesome to witness it first hand. I still get goose bumps listening to him do his thing. He definitely gave all of music a much needed shot in the arm.

when people talk about the greats, they mention Little walter, Paul Butterfield, etc. they don't look to country but Mickey Raphael is right up there with the best. He his melodic and often goes to harmony lines, with great throat vibrato
