Saw your video and found your channel at work, really diggin’ your content bro. So, it also took me exactly 2 years to get an Umnumzaan, and in January of 2022; it became my “one and done” for 8 straight months. My “in-stock” notification came in at an absolute INSANE moment…hahaha…and I literally stopped EVERYTHING I was doing at that minute to make the purchase on Knife Joy. I just bought my 3rd Umnumzaan, which was the Tanto version, last month. They are ALL staying in my collection forever. NO DOUBT!! I sold my Inkosi’s and one Sebenza, and I’m only keeping my CF Inlaid Sebbie and obviously, my Zaan’s. You are going to continue to LOVE the Umnumzaan brother…such a damn good knife. Something about the grinds on the Tanto with the CRK swedge, that I think, makes it my preferred Zaan, over the two models. Look forward to binging your vids.

The Umnumzaan is also one I’m waiting to get. Was initially wanting the Drop point but now I want a Tanto since all of my knives are currently drop point or spear point. Great unboxing video and initial thoughts!

The Zaan is my favorite knife. Any idea why the screw is flat by the lanyard on the show side? Never seen one with a flat screw.

So far I'm enjoying the knife. Used it hard for work the last few days. Feels solid but gets snail trails if I look at it the wrong way. I don't mind tho still a great looking knife. Ihonestly have no clue. That is weird. I'll look into it and get back to you.

Did you find out what the deal was with that screw? Just curious..

Should have said that as a two time Sebenza owner it's easy to open, most people that aren't accustomed to CRK it will ruin their thumb.

As I just got a magna cut version of this knife, and it was my first CRK knife, I entirely agree with the comment… Easy to open??? My thumb will never be the same!

Micarta inlays feel the best. I bought a box elder and it feels slippery to me.

I finally grabbed a drop point LEFT HANDED Umnumzaan. Holy try hard I thought I’d never get it

I just got mine recently, the drop point version. The tanto looks cool as well! I love the looks, but I'm not too happy about the smoothness of the opening, it does not work that well as I would expect.

It’ll definitely get smoother as you break it in. After a a few days of slow rolling it and flicking it open and closed it got extremely smooth. Now I can flip it open every time without any wrist movement.

Use it. Break it in. Then its smooth as glass. This knife grows with you if you actually use it.

its a great knife not exclusive to DLT though

They told me it was a mistake in production. They said this happened to several people and they sent me a new one for free which was cool. Now I have two and a story to go with it.

@@PatheticPeasant I say go for it. It really is a beautiful knife that has a quality feel. It’s one of those knives that feels really good in hand. Since you have other Christmas Reeve knives I think you would appreciate it. If anything the Umnumzaan retains its value really well and if you end up not wanting it you can definitely get your money back.

The flat screw on the back of the zaan is not right should be rounded something is not right here I own many look into it
