Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 MagnaCut and why I have both the large and the small Sebenza

Chris Reeve knives don't appeal to me and I'll never get a Sebenza. Well I'm gonna need more sriracha to go along with eating my words. I've now got both the large and small Sebenza 31. Why did I get both of them? Do I think they are worth it?

I got the large sebenza drop point, magnacut polished blade with bog oak inlays with the gold accessories. I think I paid almost $900. Worth every penny!!!! Edit: well I lost my large sebenza 31 bog oak polished magnacut blade 5 days ago and thankfully I live five minutes up the road from E-Knives and Clay really hooked me up big time on the same knife so go to E-Knives for all your knife needs!

Great video and tastes are very subjective of course. I started like everyone and worked my way up - now I only own Chris Reeve and Medford. Medford’s for me are all about the uniqueness of the anodizing and flaming - they are just fantastic. Chris Reeve - just wow… I know some say they aren’t fidgets, they are boring… I would say they are perfectly built, rock solid, they aren’t like the China knives that have 909 new designs every day and your knife becomes irrelevant and unsupported in 12 minutes after purchase. Chris Reeve holds their value, are rock solid, clean and they invented the frame lock, offer a cheap spa service to restore your knife to new, U.S.A. made, great people, great service - for me, the best knives ever made.

Best video on the 31's I've seen yet, I've got a Magnacut Drop point Large in Micarta for heavy work, and recently got the same config Small 31 that you have for in pocket carry at the office!

Just now seen the video from a couple of months back,But I have a small Sebenza 21 with the carbon fiber front scale because it was a knife art exclusive in s35vn with a 59-60 hardness,And I paid 425.00 in 2019 for it and I still carry it off and on till this day,Outstanding knife and quality, I also carry the quiet carry waypoint in Vanax super clean and I’m very impressed with it also and how long Vanax can hold and edge,Outstanding video though and like you said to each their own,But I will definitely get another Sebenza here in the next few months because I want one in Magnacut now,After using my Giant mouse ace Iona in Magnacut it’s also an outstanding steel that is easy to keep razor sharp,Thanks for the video

That is a beautiful knife, congratulations. I looked at the polished blade but was worried that it would get really scratched up and my OCD wouldn't be able to handle that.

Just happened across your video and I just want to say, great insight and review. It’s difficult to describe the difference between Chris Reeve knives and other less expensive American brands like Benchmade and Spyderco. I promised myself I’d never pay that much for a knife then splurged in 2020 and got a large 21. Quickly exploded to 6 CRKs with currently my eye on a 7th. They are just hands down the best quality tools I’ve had my hands on

Thanks for watching. I also did short videos on the small 31 and the mnandi. I'm going into Chris Reeve rehab if this keeps up.

I kinda feel like the Sebenza would remove staples from wood, and with high safety - doubt the lock would slide away from the tang

Are you saying that all dealers everywhere sell for example the large sebenza 31 of the same configuration at the exact same down to the penny price?

Yes. This is called map pricing. As opposed to msrp . Nice video by the way. My sebenza 21 has been carried for eleven years . They really take a lot of use . I use a 940 Benchmade for the tough stuff now.
