You can’t mention DGD without listening to Lemon Meringue Tie. It’s a staple in the band’s history, so much so that to this day they still play it live.

Pretty sure the ending was jonny being an asshole and calling one of his exes to make sure her eye color was blue before naming the song lol.

Nah, it's a reference to Privilously Poncheezied. Blue Dream is a weed strain.

The ending of this song gives my chills after the part where Jon goes wild with those screams.

Surprised that nobody has mentioned this yet. The Blue eyes thing at the end is about pills; it is known that Jonny was abusing drugs at the time, I don't know what type of pills he was abusing but I remember reading somewhere that it's a reference to a certain type of pill and that the blue pills are the strongest dose of that kind. The girl he called was his dealer, and the "color of your eyes" thing was code for what type of pills she was selling.

Just always assumed it was about the weed strain of the same name. And word on the street when it came out was they were all up late smoking blue dream and decided to call random people until they found one with blue eyes.

The end songs of this album are the strongest ones to me and the next song is actually the first DGD I ever listened to. My buddy showed it to me the day the album came out and told my I had to listen to it because the intro guitars were awesome. Anyways great vid as always.

Blue Dream might have a dual meaning, i do think it refers to the eye color of one of Johnnys ex gfs and its also a popular strain of weed, with very chill effects just like the song lol.
