he is not a falsetto it is called a counter-tenor. they are a rare breed. other examples of counter tenors: Jon Anderson (from a prog rock group called Yes) Howie D (Backstreet Boys)

It’s just my personal opinion. His vocal range is incredible which is why Chris was always given the hardest harmonies of everyone, and also has a better falsetto than Justin.

Ross Harb I guess I haven’t been a musician since I was a child and worked with amazing vocalists through out my entire life, and JC never took a single vocal lesson while chris’ family comes from an opera background. Oh man, I guess I really am insane.

I can explain that jcuz ive studied n played music myself. Lower range vocals like baritone and bass provide vocal support to a song. The same way a bass guitar works itself into a rock song. Higher vocals are more easily identified in songs...so Justin n JC r the Tenors since the sing the highest. They have the melody (not harmony). Harmony is like singing along with a song n giving it a boost of "flavor", rhythm n beat. Lance was bass like his last name! So his voice is the base support of the vocal pyramid. I hope i alteast kinda explained this😉

Two background vocalists singing the leads proves that we can get an awesome NSYNC reunion with JC, Chris, Joey, Lance and without Justin they will do just fine.

Westlife was fine without Brian who was one of the main vocals. Even in their 40s, they had back-to-back sold out concerts in Asia recently. In the Philippines, the suppossedly 1 night concert turned into 2 due to popular demand. NSYNC will def do great without JT.

The same reason i've thought, BSB has equal chance for each member to perform the solo part, even though kevin & howie did in a few of BSB songs such as "I want it that way" and "drowing" and "Show me the meaning". I think this factor will obviously affect to the band itself

They had a five-part Harmony that worked for them That's different than what the backstreet boys have. This is partially the reason why everyone didn't get the same amount of solos. Also, Justin and JC we're the ones the girls were after so they sold more albums and shows with them in front

They can hold their own indeed. But Justin was huge for marketing when they were popular. They need him. in addition, they rely on a five-part Harmony. No matter what you think of Justin at this point, his part is essential to their overall sound.

Chris and Joey did some leads back in the first era (95-97) but Lance was a bass singer, wich meant his voice worked perfectly to Harmonize ballads, but not very good for leading pop songs

Chris has always had such incredible control over his falsetto. Such a high voice could easily get away from you, but he’s so good at it.

Justin tried singing Poison on tour some point and compared to Joeys version on the MS it was terrible. JC can just sing co-lead with Chris instead whos got a voice suited for parts Justin sung originally

I think Joey had more solo's and vocal runs than Chris so Chris is definitely the most underused aside from Lance for obvious reasons but the first album and christmas album Joey got to do his thing on more than a handful of songs but his voice early on sounded like JTs that it's easily looked over

This just made me tear up. Just yesterday they were everywhere and I was a little girl running around singing it. Now I'm a grown adult with my own teenagers realizing why my mom would cry watching me and my friends with this song. She was watching herself grow up before her eyes and knew one day I'd be living that same moment. Time passes so quickly and every moment is important.

This is so dope! Always loved Chris and Joe. I’m sad i see a lot of people saying that had no idea they could sing this well tho. Their voices carried the harmonies from jump. It gave them their unique sound. Chris is the one who started the group. JC was always my fave because I’ve been following him since he first appeared on the Mickey Mouse Club but if you’ve ever really listened to their whole albums or seen any live performances from their concerts you will hear how wonderful Chris and Joe sound. Need more of this with Lance and JC.

He founded the group and gets no love even from the *NSYNC fan base. I used to get into fights as a child with other people who said Justin was the best because I always (and still do) stick up for Chris. The reason he did all the high harmonies was because he was really the only one who could pull them off. Spice girls did the same shit with Mel C, she was the only one ever put on harmonies.
