This is legent dude!!!

Its 2023 i just found this song was from Impellitteri and tears came down as such a underated band that and old Metal head like me just discovered. They belong up there with the stars. A new old fan ❤ From metal with ❤. (Man, who cut the 🧅 onions?)

Still my most favorite guitar solo after all these years..

Timeless masterpiece!

As a teenager I had a cockatiel bird named Rebel who was obsessed with this song. He would go crazy dancing and "singing", I played it every morning for him 'til the day he died. Recently shared the story with my child and was trying to find the song to play for her. Thanks for posting and bringing back so many fond memories.

I bought the Stand In line cassette when it first came out in 89 because i was a huge fan of vocalist Graham Bonnett, ironically, my favorite song on it is an instrumental

I remember my first time hearing this as a 14 year old kid in the year 2000 when Napster first came out. I used to search for guitar solos and titles like that. then when I discovered Yngwie I used to search for him all the time. and this song always came up as an Yngwie song, so for a long time I always thought this was Yngwie. It wasn't til years later I realized it wasn't Yngwie because it's not his tone at all. But anyways, I still love this song. very beautiful and full of emotion. The synthetic plays a huge part in the overall mood of the song as well.

The same happened to me as a teenager, i used limewire and the song was shown as a Satriani song and then realized it wasn't him hahahahah. It's funny to find out that this happened to other people as well : )

had a similar napster experience. ive seen it listed as Yngwie and also as Steve Vai.

I have never heard this song played better than the way Chris does it he is amazing

Um... no. He’s released 2 albums in the last few years and even played in a Randy Rhodes tribute band, and was named one of the top 10 fastest shredders by Guitar Player magazine behind Yngwie and Batio. So how’s that Walmart gig going Allen ? Lol.

고3때 배철수 라디오방송에서 이 곡 듣고 바로 음반 사서 힘들때마다 들었던 기억이 나네요. 30년 가까이 흘렀지만 지금 들어도 가슴이 뜨거워지는 명연주입니다.

I first heard Chris's music back in 2008 and listened to him all the time. When I started using the internet a year later I realised he wasnt as popular as the other rockstar guitarists and then upset me cos Chris really is an extremely talented guitar player

My friend and I walked in to Musicland and this was playing overhead. He bought it and we have been Imepelliterri fans since. Similar thing happened with a Jason Becker song.

i realized the other day that i had turned my frankenstrat into the jason becker multi-colored pickup guitar. he's awesome too.. it's amazing that he never gave up music despite becoming disabled due to a neuro degenerative disease. RAWK!!!!

@@allentaylor3325 there is a really good and informative DVD called Jason Becker: Not dead yet (2012) I have it and it shed alot of light on his life both musically and personally. He is a very talented and cool guy.

I'm a bassist who shreds I owe my career to the one and only Cliff Burton if he didn't die that night in 1986 he would of left Metallica and went on to make Neo classical albums with his solo career no one can shred on bass like Cliff did

So melodic and passionate.

+Cyco McQueen Yeah it is. Stand in line is one of my favorite albums from the 80s!. And as much as I love this song, to me it's only the 3rd best on the album after Secret Lover and White and Perfect!

This has got to be one of if not the greatest cover of this song that I have ever heard! It literally brought me to tears hearing it! That my friend is a good sign that the song is a masterpiece!

My mother died in 2017. She asked me to play this on guitar at her wake. Could never do it then. But i play it every year for mother's day...RIP mom..I miss our talks

Oddly enough you rarely hear of either one of them and both have been around since the mid 80's. Kind of sad that Jason isn't able to play the way he use to, but at least he is still making music.

I forgot to mention Guthrie Govan I believe comes close to Shawn Lane playing style

Borrowed this from aunt Stella way back in the day...... she never got it back. Still one of my favorite solos 🤟❤️

When this first came out in the early 90s I was still running an office (before I threw away my ties and worked for myself) this was played on KQ92 and gave the correct credit to Chris! I would crank this tune every time it came on- my general manager had a thing or two to say but he's learned to live with me- the 70 or so folk in my office never complained! (They always had the best and newest and loudest tunes played while they worked!)
