Must disagree, the best performence was human torch. JK. IMO it is, captain america, not only cuz he portrayed him really well and up to its expectations, just the evolution with the character and with chris in the MCU. But defending jacob is def on pair (ou pare idk how to write) ou just after.

Oh, and he did do a pretty cool, nice romantic comedy called “Playing It Cool” in 2015.

He wants to find the one. He has dated. Maybe now he’s more private after people, via Twitter, harassed a serious girlfriend for not been worthy of him, according to the shallow comments she got about her looks. rockstarrachita, So he’s not stayed single forever really, only breaks of singleness, only hasn’t been married, divorced or remarried. Questions I WOULD have asked Chris Evans: 1) Do you think that Andy Barber always had a grey moral consciousness to begin with, or his unethical behaviors were a result of his parental instinct and him wanting to protect his child no matter what. 2) Andy's family is basically broken by the end of the show, but he was still trying to mend those cracks even if it takes reconstructing his wife's life on a lie. Again, is it a father/husband thing? Or is Andy clinging to the idea of a normal family/life in an abnormal way?

it is difficult to point out clearly if he generally had a questionable sense of morality. They didn't throw too much light on his work ethics. However, as a parent he did do a few things that called his ethics into question. But as a parent I can't fault him too much. But then again they say the true test of a man's character is in times of adversity. Can't answer number 2 haven't finished watching yet. I do like one thing about his character so far, his unwavering believe in his sons innocence. its nice to have that kind of support when you're truly innocent

Defending Jacob has to be one of Chris's best works. He was a phenomenal actor in it obviously, but also the show was just wonderfully written and directed. I hope that the show can stretch beyond the books and delve into another season. This show is evidently about family, and it would be very interesting to see how (and if) the Barber family picks up the extremely broken pieces of their family or if it is even possible for them to regain any sense of normalcy again. Too, it would be interesting to see how Jacob reacts to the accident: whether he think his mom was trying to kill him or not, and if so, how he deals with that.

Honestly I loved the show! However on the last episode this is my theory I feel the mum was beyond breaking point and she obviously crashed the car on purpose due to the fact she was so torn and distraught by thinking her son did this. But truly I think the mom didn’t think they would of both survived the crash but when she realised she and her son were still alive she had then panicked and made up a cover story to tell her husband that it was an ‘accident’ so she would not be charged for trying to murder her son. Plus it kinda makes sense why she crashed the car because she had nothing to loose as she was already at breaking point thinking her son had killed Ben. Plus she probably did mean to kill her son due to the fact jacobs photo album was in the rubbish. But yeh I think the mum thought they would of both died from the crash but her plan had backfired so she made up a cover story to save her self from being charged for attempted murder.

I don't think she necessarily made it up in a devious, lying way. I think through her trauma, her mind convinced her that it was an accident to protect her from the painful consequences of the truth. This happens a lot with trauma victims. I think all of the events leading up to this definitely overwhelmed her to the point that she wanted to kill herself and her son to stop the pain. The show managed it so well. You clearly saw the mom breaking down throughout the whole show, but I never guessed that she would do such a thing. Yet at the same time, you're not really surprised that she did and you could see how she ended up there.

The acting was just superb. I loved watching every episode. The directors did a mighty good job to give us an immersive experience. I how ever did not wholesomely enjoy the ending. I didn't get the sense of closure that would have cemented the show's greatness in my mind. I feel like there's a lot that was left unresolved. Mainly, of course, WHO KILLED BEN? but also what was Jacob's connection to Leonards Pats? I honestly thought that Jacob was being molested by Pats. I want to know all of this but I'm not sure I'd be willing to go through another season just to find out.

I think Patz, Matt, Derek, and Jacob were all involved in some way. I don't trust Derek because he stole Ben's phone 2 days before his murder and accused Jacob on social media. Then Matt sits on his story for months and conveniently disappears right before the trial. My theory is that Derek borrows Jacob's knife, gets in touch with Matt who gives Patz the knife and sets him up with Ben. Matt will do anything for money, including sending Patz additional victims. Patz uses Jacob's knife to overpower Ben. He sexually assaults Ben, while Derek and Jacob get footage of it and run off. But Jacob returns for his knife, and that's when Patz kills Ben so that he can assault Jacob. After this, Patz freaks out, leaves Jacob's knife and runs off. Jacob moves the body so that it will be found by a passerby and leaves the scene as though nothing ever happened. That evening, Derek is still on good terms with Jacob since he assumes Patz killed Ben, but he has his doubts. Then he reads Jacob's story online and tells the police, since he doesn't want to be implicated in Ben's murder. Jacob writes and publishes the story in order to create an alternative version of events in which he can escape his own assault. Then, Jacob gets into a similar case in Mexico, where he befriends a young female tourist, only to simultaneously get in touch with gangsters who make her disappear from the party. Since he isn't strong enough to overpower Hope, he goes about it vicariously just like he did with Ben. Also, the computer program that wipes memory on Jacob's laptop may have been used to erase the footage of Ben's assault. That's my theory on what could have happened. I don't think Jacob committed the crime, but I do believe he and Derek were implicated in the sense that they had a connection to Patz and relied on him in order to gain compromising footage of Ben.

Not knowing who killed Ben is the WHOLE POINT of this story! You’re feeling exactly what Laurie was feeling in that car at the end (albeit not so intensely cuz it’s not your son)... I wish they had gone for a different ending. They just slightly changed the book ending and I hoped for something more creative. I know the main point was not really solving the mystery but the experience of the parents dealing with having a murderer as child and not knowing. It’s wasn’t about Jacob and they left his characters so ambiguous on purpose. So in this way the ending is fine but it’s so similarly to the book.
