Chris Darden, Fred And Kim Goldman Talk About O.J. Simpson’s Imminent Release | Megyn Kelly TODAY

With the release of O.J. Simpson on parole possible in a matter of days, Chris Darden, one of the prosecutors in Simpson’s trial for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, tells Megyn Kelly that Simpson was “lying through his teeth” at his parole hearing. Ron Goldman’s father, Fred, and sister, Kim, also join Megyn, with Fred saying he’s “disgusted’ about Simpson’s release.

Most sensible people never actually said that. They said that the prosecution failed to prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt; the legal standard for sentencing. And this happened exclusively because some of the evidence had been either tampered with or outright planted by an exposed racist policeman who lied about this fact on the stand. And this guy, who openly talked on tape about framing "n****s" for crimes, was the one handling the crime scene. You obviously can't trust either him or his crime scene then, because Simpson happens to be a "n****r". Simpson may be guilty, but you will never convict anyone legally if extremist racist police get caught, or are even suspected of tampering with evidence in a case against a black person in this way. It taints the rest of the evidence so that the jury can't trust any of it. No choice but to acquit. If I were the Goldmans I would blame the police for contaminating the crime scene. The question of guilt is irrelevant when police operate in such a shoddy manner. And to be perfectly clear, none of this verbiage upsets me the way it apparently upsets everyone else in this sissified society. They're just words. But the reality behind it does upset me. There can never be any justice as long as specific groups of people can be targeted and framed in this way, no matter which group it is. And even if this did not happen with Simpson, the guy who thinks this kind of police work is a swell idea was the first policeman there. Blame him for this. And the prosecution who decided to base their case on his questionable crime scene accounts. And btw, I will tell you what is truly inconceivable to me: that there are people who actually believe that The Gloves were not super-suspicious. I have never in my entire life removed only one glove and then driven away wearing only one glove. And I am fairly sure that I don't know anybody else who has. Because you just don't do this, particularly as a stressed out murderer fleeing a crime scene. You keep gloves together automatically, like muscle memory. Yet that is exactly what the police claimed took place here. One glove neatly dandled next to two corpses and the other placed like a sign post right outside Simpson's house, both precisely placed in the two locations they needed to be in in order to incriminate Simpson. If Simpson was desperate to get convicted for double homicide, this is where he would have placed the gloves. It's just suspicious. This is what planted or tampered evidence looks like.

@@politicallycorrectredskin796 I like what you have written here, its objective and your personal opinion is clearly stated, thanks for that. I occasionally get caught up in the emotional aspects and end up losing focus. Try not to hold that against me. I agree with most of what you stated however i would like to touch base on a couple points you've made and im interested in your feedback. I personally believe its a shame that so many other things like race, color, wealth, celebrity status and history etc. play such a focal point with people's perceptions. I truly wish it was just about right and wrong but unfortunately its the world we live in. Fuhrman may have been a racist or just a vulgar person who used the 'n' word too often. I don't know. It looked beyond terrible in the public eye and his pleading the 5th pretty much sealed the case for the defense. I agree with you that all the evidence could or should have been tainted if this is what the jury concluded. The trouble i have in understanding this is when a police officer happens upon a gruesome murder scene how does he go about planting evidence everywhere and anywhere not having a background to base it on. He just automatically concludes OJ's the murderer and starts manipulating the evidence? Does that seem plausible to you? I mean its ok if it does, im not judging but i cant wrap my head around it. I beieve there was corruption in the department and i believe there were racist officers but not to the extent of a criminal conspiracy solely pointing to one suspect immediately following the murders - and add to that equation he would also have to ignore who the real killer(s) were. It just doesn't add up for me. People have been convicted in the past on circumstantial evidence alone and far less physical evidence as well. The amount of evidence at both scenes and inbetween is so overwhelming why the need to contaminate it at all with a planted glove or whatever the case. It just doesn't make any sense. Re: the glove. I wear black leather hatch gloves for my job. It's not often I lose one but it has happened. I grab them and go walking out the door only to find im missing one when I arrive at work and when I return home its on the driveway where i parked my car. At least thats what happened the last time. There expensive search and puncture proof gloves so im not careless with them. Just saying, so now you can say you at least know one person who has. Assuming you believe me I guess. The other point re: the gloves - is it not possible that the killer lost a glove in the struggle and was unable to find it in the dark? Or that he took off his gloves to check the cut on his hand or that when leaving dropped one by accident because he was interrupted? That might explain why the murder scene was so hap-hazard. If you just killed 2 people is it reasonable to assume your not exactly in the right frame of mind. That you might be thinking clearly and your just reacting to the situation? When i watched the trial I thought it perfectly reasonable that OJ in his hurry to get back home and not be seen jumped the fence in the backyard and bumped up against the wall (kato's testimony about the banging on the wall) and dropped the glove in his haste to get back. The prosecution stated it was impossible for Fuhrman to have planted the glove but its been so long I would have to revisit that part of the testimony to see if it still holds true today. I honestly don't know for sure, it's just my opinion but in my heart of hearts think that even if Fuhrman had done it, I can't possibly explain away all of the other key points of physical evidence. I can't explain away all the blood. I cant explain his behaviour before, during and after the trial. I cant explain his friends and lawyers abandoning him afterwards if they too didnt believe of his guilt. Lastly, just once i would like someone in OJ's camp who believes his innocense argue it based on facts and not the defense propositions that were never proved in court. Not suggesting thats you btw. Cheers

@@@scottclark8856 I do agree with this. Skin color, genitals, fame etc shouldn't be important but somehow is. If Simpson had not been a celebrity he would have fried in the chair. In fact, if he had been white and not a celebrity he would have fried in the chair. This is definitely a blind spot for black people who have a racist outlook on these things. For many of them it's a victory whenever a black person gets off like this, when it's really just one more rich guy getting off. But since most rich guys who get off are white, it seems like a win when it isn't. As for the gloves, to me the first question is why Simpson was wearing lady's gloves while murdering two people in the first place. The logical assumption is that it was so as to not leave finger prints, meaning that it was premeditated. And if that was the case, the gloves must have been very important to him, and would have loomed extra large in his mind during and after the murders. They were in fact condemning evidence that it would have been very important for him to dispose of. Yet he left them spread out in the two most incriminating spots he possibly could have. They were much too tight for him anyway, so how did he even get them off without turning them inside out? Particularly while sweaty and stressed out after having murdered two people? Clearly he couldn't have. Which means that Simpson never wore those gloves. Which means that they were planted. My personal conviction is that they were Nicole Simpson's gloves, retrieved from her corpse and repositioned by the police specifically to frame, presumably, the guy they thought was guilty anyway. The police may well have been right in this assumption, because Simpson had both motive and exhibited what one might call guilty demeanor after the murders. But is it beyond doubt when you remove the Gloves? Not sure. And maybe that was why the police tried to use the Gloves to frame the murderer with in the first place? Their initial crime scene analysis may have been that there wasn't enough there to secure a conviction, so they decided to rig the scene to fix this problem. Now, the problem I have with the defense of Simpson is that they veered away from criminal defense into a purely racist defense. There is injustice towards black people. Simpson is black. Therefore Simpson is a victim of racial injustice. But this is not logical because black people can commit crimes for which they should be punished. But this is an American problem. Elsewhere, black people were not slaves, or slaves were not black people. This is an almost uniquely American (also Brazilian) perspective that is entirely irrelevant elsewhere. But this is what confuses Americans of all colors, and makes them lose sight of the things that actually matter: justice and economic equality. Since forever European politics has been exclusively centered on the conflict between rich and poor. No one in Rome cared what color you were. They just cared that you spoke Latin so you could communicate, and then whether you were rich or poor. This was what defined you. And this is how it still is everywhere except in the United States. Rich people, regardless of color, are above the law. They always have been and they always will be. Simpson has bought his way out of justice, although he is broke now because of it. But this is the system we live in, which becomes a million times more inevitable in a republic. Regardless of what people want to pretend, a republic is always an oligarchy, ie an Old Boys Club. No real justice can be expected in a republic. The laws in republics exist to manage the poor people, period. So if we remove all this cultural distortion, is Simpson guilty? Probably. But he was rich. And rich people are above the law, or can pay their way out of having to face it. This does not surprise me one bit, and I don't expect it to change. It never has yet, in more than 5000 years of human history. And I still believe the Gloves were planted, which makes me giddy with excitement that he got off. I hate corruption with a passion, and absolutely love it when corruption is exposed. Which I think happened here. Exposing corruption is like the best case scenario for me regarding almost anything. And I will always root for that, even if it means that guilty murderers walk. It'll never stop and we probably only know about a little bit of the corruption that goes on. But at least it's a little justice, which is better than the complete absence of justice we otherwise have in this society.

Agreed! think about all the blood evidence. Now, if O.J wasn't there and the blood on the gloves contained Nicole, Ron and O.J.'s blood. Even if O.J.'s blood was added to gloves by the L.A.P. D. Now, the forensic lab would have to lie too. Meaning if O.J. didn't do it, there would be DNA from the unknown killer in that glove. A lot of people involved in the investigation would have to lie and keep their mouths shut. I remember reading somewhere many years ago where, many L.A P. D were shocked or could not believe O.J. was a suspect. They held O.J. in high regards as a NFL player/ actor. I remember feeling the same way in 1994. I was like...no way O.J did that!!!! Yes, I am white. Also, how many law enforcement agencies would have aloud the chase to go on like it did???? And when they got back to O.J.'s house how many suspects would have been allowed to stand there and talk without being shoved to the ground and arrested???? Clearly all took place because it was O.J. Simpson! But wait!!!! The L.A.P.D framed O.J.

Christopher Darden and Marcia Clark did a great job of presenting their case. The evidence was sufficient to convict O.J. Simpson, but the jurors were not going to find him guilty if he stood up and said he did it. Chris and Marcia have nothing to feel guilty about, they worked way beyond the call of duty to get justice for the Browns and Goldman's. In the end O.J. spend nine years imprisoned for another crime, but in some small way that had to be gratifying for the families. Johnny Cochran made millions defending criminals that he knew were guilty of horrendous crimes. People held him in high esteem because he was a prestigious attorney, but I could not live with a clear conscious knowing this is how I made a living at the victims expence. In my book he was nothing more than a bottom feeder in a suit and all the money in the world doesn't change what a person really is. When Cochran died he was unable to take his millions with him and his legacy will be he was the man who got a killer set free.

If OJ would have been tried as a wife abuser turned murderer as he should have been, he would have been sitting in jail for the rest of his life. But instead, what happened was it became the trial of LAPD racism towards the black community. We forgot completely why there was a trial in the first place, we forgot about Ron and Nicole and that was the greatest mistake it could have been done. We should stop letting Racism being the center of our world because it harms us more than anything.
