He was much more happy in his own personal space belting out the vocals when nobody was looking. This is, like said above, drugs. Chris wasn't fond of them but for reasons unknown he had issues with himself. I blame the water in pacific northwest for that because he could have been any one of ours best friend struggling if he lived next door to you. His talent was never realized by his own self. He died here in Detroit and I remember that night and the next day and I wish if only I could have been there and hung out with him I like to believe I could have taken his pain off himself and make him laugh and smile instead. And yes I understand how dumb that sounds when typed out in a comment, but I really feel this way. I mean what if instead of going back to that hotel room he just chose to wander the streets of Detroit that night and all the interesting people he would have met. It was warm weather and even though it was a weekday and I had to work the next day as a mechanic I was out and about in the city that same evening, I'm talking hundreds of feet from that hotel, not hundreds of miles away. If only he come out and took a breath of the air, albeit dirty city air, but nonetheless earth oxygen not recycled thru a hotel air handling system... I feel if only a fan or two were to see him on the streets after that show then he would still possibly be alive today

@ Natalie Scanlon,I know depression manifests in many ways, but I saw no sign of depression in Chris Cornell. Nor Kurt or Chester. I dont know them personally, but CC was always Happy when performing & making his fans Happy. He does a duet with Cat Stevens, they sang Wild World, Chris was so happy. Even Howard Stern says There is no way Chris Cornell committed suicide. Autopsy said he had 9 broken ribs,us the scene was covered in blood. Never saw that in any hanging. He took 2 ativan, which his bodyguard gave him. He told his wife,he was tired & just wanted to sleep. She sends Bodyguard back to break door down. Why? & Why so many Injuries? Plus they waited 45+ mins to call for help. He was very protective of the guys he started playing with. They all remained close throughout the years. Eddie Vedder was like a little Brother to Chris,a peacemaker. I dont know anyone who didnt love Chris. Something nefarious happened in that Hotel room. The door was almost same height as Chris,& we are to believe he used a small exercise band? He could have just stood up. Its the other injuries he sustained, that make No Sense. I watched the scene coverage & it appears someone wanted to Silence Chris & Chester about pedophile ring. IMO it was a drug user committed suicide. Just BC their music was dark, its used against them, as depression. That's what the Grunge era was all about & what fans wanted to hear. IMO it was foul play & covered up. Rip Beautiful Man Chris Cornell. Documents missing from his hotel room. All he wanted was a Remote & WiFi in his room. Loved him & his music. No investigation, assumed suicide. IMO he was killed.

@@bigdawg6308 I know Chris had depression, but all he took was 2 ativan, given to him by bodyguard. I just can't get past the 9 broken ribs & excessive amount of blood in the bathroom. Medic wasn't called for 41 mins, when there was a medic on the hotel. Why the wait? Why break his door down & not seek medical help?? Too many time drug users are considered a suicide or an OD!! 2 adivan?? Should not be given to someone who was drinking!! Also Chris had a head injury while on stage, something just don't make sense. Its the facts surrounding his death that are suspect to me. Call it denial, but if it don't make sense, factually usually foul play is at hand. Medics should have been called immediately, not 41 MNS later. What was going on for those 41 mins, that he sustained 9 broken ribs?? Peace & love Kathy xo

@@kathleendebiase5768 It's not knowing he had depression. It's understanding depression. I am bi polar myself and it is by far horrible. I take medication to not feel, if I'm not on it I become so energetic I could lead a country to war snd then next week I can't get out of bed, everything is grey and miserable, I feel guilt to where I can't eat, I abuse drugs and alcohol which makes it worse. When driven to suicide it's just empty. Chris Cornells last ever live performance, he just wasn't there, he was done and tired, unmotivated and unbothered. He's struggled with alcoholism, he was on several medications. Whether or not he committed suicide, the man is dead.

@@bigdawg6308 I am suffering from depression now & have been for years. I have good ,& bad days, the bad outweigh the good, but have thought of suicide, but I think of my Family,& hurting them. Plus I'm afraid to really die. At times I feel empty inside,it started with death of my Brother, age 29, then my Mom. There are just some people who have a tremendous impact in your life. Loss of loved ones , too many too soon ,I never processed my grief,I went into shock. In my case depression is hard to cover with a smile. I isolate. I'm a DV survivor, & he took so much from me. The beatings were wicked. Broken bones, black eyes, stab wounds, choking ,he always got the royal treatment BC his 2 cousins were Sheriffs. Its who you know. As far as Chris Cornell, usually during depression Social Anxiety develops. I'm no Dr. Maybe your right I just didnt see any signs of depression in Chris. I love his music. Him as a person being interviewed. He seemed to be a deep thinker & very caring person. I don't claim to know him personally, but the coincidence that both Chris & Chester were about to expose a Child pornography ring, with big names involved,is a motive to me. I guess we will never know what really transpired in that hotel room. Other than speculation..Hope you feel better, more often than bad. Those grey days are a dark hole. I get them often. Peace & Love Big Dawg, love Kathy xoxo

As someone who's been inches from his fate, the song "Be Yourself" fills me with both inspiration and fear. To me it is the anthem of someone trying so hard to understand. Someone who gets occasional glimpses of the beauty of life in a way that people who don't chronically suffer never can. Someone who tries to hold onto that ....and watches it slip by. Back to the depths. It doesn't have to be that way. Don't give up my friends

I agree BC people who committ suicide, very rarely show signs that's what is so shocking. Sometimes it seems people find no purpose to live. Its the people that they leave behind that are baffled BC they hide the despair inside & when meds no longer help & alcohol no longer numbs the inner pain. Hopelessness sets in. The mind is a mysterious organ. Just so many talented ,musical Geniuses are dead & gone. I keep them alive by listening to their music, That brings back memories. Music is my go to when feeling hopelessness. Suicide just doesn't make sense to me,but everyone copes or can't cope anymore. He was a kind man,no one has had a bad thing to say about Chris. RIP Beautiful Man

So true,I'm too chicken BC I love my kids & never want to hurt them. Life gets very repitious & boring to me. So I isolate, we all handle things differently. Like a Stone sounds kinda like he's had enough. He just got tired of waiting?? Its just st sad. I can't even debate this BC I'm not feeling my mental health is in a great spot lately. Slipped back into depression once again. I dont even want to leave the house. Dr's are not able to change your thoughts, just make you broke. No one can change the way our brains are wired. Meds are a bandaid ,to mask the problem. IMO RIP Chris

If he hadn't gotten with the witch, gotten her pregnant and rushed into marriage, then sucked into her and her family's disgusting vile soul sucking life, he may very well still be with us. One day his murder will be given the correct investigation that it never got, and millions of us are hoping one day Justice is served. Look into the "investigation" and contradicting conflicting detectives half ass accounts before responding negatively. Don't talk ab something until you've done ur research RIP Chris Love ya riki
